  1. I'm not sure how to make it print a log, is there an option somewhere and I will post it, thanks
  2. ok, how do I set up the built in viewer then, when I go to the control panel tab in the game menu it just replays the game video
  3. they are named the same as the games
  4. Two things going on, one the sorting options are not working for me (ie no mahjong, no shooting games etc) in the options. Second the controls png's are all in a folder called controls and gameex points to that folder in the settings but when I hover over control's in a game selection it plays the video and doesnt show the arcade controls. All the other options (cabinet etc) work fine. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?
  5. thanks, I appreciate it. I was hoping I wouldnt step on any toes. No its completely for home use lol.
  6. Hello, hope this isnt a taboo subject for a post. Either way I built an arcade cabinet a few years ago and paid for a fully registered version of gameex. I'm not great at computers but I worked my way through getting everything to work, barely. I only use maybe 1% of the features of gameex and would love to unlock its full potential. I'm also now having problems where when the mame game starts it is so dark I can barely make anything out, and it only happens in game. I have a fully upgraded gameex installation and a fully upgraded xp computer. Basically what I'm looking for is someone who is very familiar with all the ins and outs of this front end and enjoys messing with these kinds of things. I live in vegas but have logmein on the arcade cabinet (works great). I'm hoping I can get someone that wouldnt mind taking some time to mess with all the little configurations and tweaks to get everything the way I want it. I'm very willing to pay a fair wage and maybe do an ongoing tech support thing for me lol. If anyone at all is interested please email me at davidsapper@gmail.com Now I know a few people will chime in that its so easy, its a waste ect. But please understand I'm at a point in my life where I dont have the time or energy to expend making this right and I'm at the point if I cant I'm going to sell the cabinet which I hate to do. So its either this or nothing for me. Thanks, hope someone jumps on this!
  7. Full installer for gameex or mame?
  8. Hey, I'm getting this error on the log pasted at the bottom So, I've had gameex installed and running for a few years now (purchased full version) with no issues. I recently updated all my roms and was updating mame at the same time. I copied mame into the same folder and made sure gameex was still pointing towards the emulator... Restart gameex and get this issue.. I just updated directx9 like it suggested, and nothing. Any help would be greatly appriciated 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: GameEx: Version 10.06: Starting Log 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: Operating System Platform: Win32NT 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: Operating System Name: Windows XP 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: Operating System Version: 5.1.2600 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: Checking for versions of .net Framework installed 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: .net Framework 1.1 Installed 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: .net Framework 2.0 Installed 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.00GHz, 1022MB 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: 3Ghz - 2 Cores or CPU's 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: Running Randomize() 07:55:26.5 5/5/2009: Loading PlugIns 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Checking for applications to Launch On Startup 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Running Misc startup tasks 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Setting Menu types 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Opening Configuration File 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Getting Configuration Values 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Using Theme: Default - Default - Animated 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Checking for alternate Image Directory for Theme: Default - Default - Animated 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Using Images from theme: Default - Default\MEDIA\ 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Launching HideOS.exe 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Initialising Video/MNG DLL's 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: GameEx will check for media insertion (may affect performance) 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Hiding Taskbar 07:55:26.6 5/5/2009: Using Cabinet Friendly Control System 07:55:26.7 5/5/2009: Is Media Center running? 07:55:26.7 5/5/2009: Checking/Creating LCD Registry values 07:55:26.7 5/5/2009: Check Media Center Exit/Start Mode 07:55:26.7 5/5/2009: Media Center Mode 2 07:55:26.7 5/5/2009: Video previews on.
