  1. Thank you for confirming that UAC only needs to be enabled during installation. I will set UAC to it's lowest setting. I was hoping somebody had figured out how to get PinballX working with UAC at the default setting, but I'll run at the lower security setting.
  2. Apologize in advance if this is already documented but I am having issues with the Windows 7 x64 UAC and the PinballX 1.98 executable. Setting the PinballX file properties to "Run As Administrator" still causes the UAC prompt and this is preventing PinballX from auto starting at boot. I have only seen others in this forum solve this issue by moving the UAC security slider to its lowest setting. The problem with this solution is that the Shark Codecs report stability issues with the UAC disabled. Has anyone successfully been able to run PinballX without the UAC prompt with the default Windows 7 x64 UAC setting?
  3. Now I feel silly. It appears the game manager does support "other systems". I just needed to create the folder and .XML file. I'm still learning! :-)
  4. I realize I'm replying to an old post, but are there any plans to have the game manager support more than just future pinball and visual pinball? It's a much better experience using the game manager than editing an xml file. Would be great to see the game manager support "other systems" too. Thoughts?
  5. All, Thanks for the assistance with Future DMD. I finally figured out what was causing PinballX to "freeze". In the PinballX settings for FutureDMD I had to set the following to "no" Launch before Wait for Exit - No Launch before Hide Window - No Now Future Pinball tables launch with PinballX and the FutureDMD runs! It also exits when I exit the table. Hope this helps anyone that was struggling like me! :-)
  6. Thank you for the suggestions, but after ensuring the opengl32.dll file was in the future pinball directory and not the bam folder and changing the LaunchBeforeParameters.....still have the same results. The DMD launches in the 3rd monitor...pinball x shows "loading" and then my system hangs. Future pinball never launches.
  7. I am hoping someone can help me get FutureDMD working with PinballX? Here are some details on my config: PinballX 1.69 Future DMD 1.6b Windows 7 32-bit Future Pinball BAM version I have placed the future DMD files in the BAM directory per the installation instructions. I can run futuredmd manually and then fire up fploader.ext in the bam directory and the DMD comes up fine and future pinball plays fine. When I try the same from PinballX I get the "loading" screen and then nothing else happens. The system locks at that point. I have added the parameters in the run before for future DMD. Below is my Pinballx.ini Any ideas what I'm doing wrong? 8. I just deleted the whole subscript for the TOTAN night mod table referenced in the fix Zeenon found. The TOTAN night mod table now works in PinballX. I don't know enough about visual pinball scripting to being to understand why it would work outside of Pinballx, but thanks to everyone for the support. I'm not even sure what function that subscript performs, but the table seems to play fine without it. :-)
  9. Thanks for the suggestion Zeenon. I actually just started a fresh install since a lot of tables were "old" and I wanted to start with quality over quantity and the TOTAN night mod was the first table I tried. Guess I just picked a bad table. I'll try some others to see if the credit button works in PinballX.
  10. OK...I just figured out the unblocking of .DLL's. Apparently the "unblock" button does not appear in the .DLL properties if you do not need to unblock. I did not have the "unblock" button so this was why I was confused. I also tried running the latest TOTAN night mod table from within PinballX version 1.68. I get the following script error: Line 307 - Subscript out of Range: 'AnPINewPos' Also the coin/credit button does not work from within PinballX. When I run this TOTAN night mod table using Vpinball.exe without the PinballX frontend the table works fine with no issues and no script errors. Any ideas?
  11. Zeenon posted this to me regarding unblocking DLL's: " Make sure if you are using the B2S backglass server (under your tables dir) that both .dll's are unblocked." I am not familiar with unblocking a .DLL. Could you please elaborate on what this means? I do have both vpinball.exe as well as PinballX.exe set to run as administrator. I am still getting the odd issue where the credit/coin button is not working on the latest TOTAN night mod from within PinballX runing VPinball.exe 709 release.
  12. Apologize for not including my configuration in my initial post: Win7 32 bit vpinmame Virtuapin plunger/controller VP 9.16 rev 709 PBX 1.68 B2S Backglass Server 1.3.0.1 I'm not sure what "DOF R1 V0.6.5052.22548" that you reference in your build. Also you mention "make sure all your .dll's related to VP/DOF/B2S are unblocked if using win7" Is there an installation document that guides though a proper Win7 install? Thank you.
  13. I am also downloading the new daily builds of vpinball.exe and I have been noticing strange issues when running Visual Pinball through the PinballX Frontend. I'm currently at build 709. I just downloaded a night mod of Tales of the Arabian nights. Works fine in visual pinball, however when I launch it through the frontend I'm getting a script error and also now the credit button does not work. Launching the table without the front end does not cause these issues.
