I've searched in all forum, but the answers didn't help me. I've got a pinball cabinet with 2 monitors: 1 for the playfield at 1920x1080 and the second for the backglass at 800x600 In Game manager I've setted up all the backglasses images for the frontend but in the selection menu I can only see videos\images for the playfield. Uhm I didn't know this way to show the boot log in windows. Btw.. I assume that I need to disable Hyperpin (that's what I use now as pinballx substitute)

I've even tried this and other ways to force pinballx to start with windows... Nothing! There's something strange in the start process: pinballx is configured to launch xpadder.. And xpadder is effectively launched by pinballx (not by windows).. this mean that pinballx is started but is not present in the process list or task manager!!

Andyco and randr, tried both methods but nothing changes. I think that is not a pinballx problem.. But windows user permission problem.. Even if hyperpin starts automatically like a charm. Probably nothing will change until format.. But for now I'll keep on using Hyperpin. Thanks for now

well, I've created an AHK script named PX inside I've wrote: "Run, D:\Pinballx\pinballx.exe" (without quotes) but nothing I've tried with "Run, D:\Pinballx\pinballx.bat" and still doesn't works other programs like xpadder or autohotkey starts automatically, I've even tried to disable all other startups but PinballX seems to start only via mouse doubleclick

yes Draco..."run\msconfig" and in the start tab there are normal programs like xpadder, google update, java update, windows os..and Pinballx! all these programs are always been here few days ago when PinballX started automatically. A little curiosity: in a different pc where autostart works perfectly the path of PinballX in the Startup folder points directly in Pinballx batch file and not exe...maybe I can manually copy the Pinballx batch shortcut in the startup folder?

Well, the path in Windows Startup is right and there's no other program in that folder. Ok friends, before I loose myself in this labyrinth...what if I use an external program for automatic startup?

Already done! Pinballx is even in the startup program(not sure if is a shortcut].. But nothing. I've even found the automatic start in msconfig, but nothing to do. Is there a deeper uninstaller way?

in the last days I've added some videos, wheels and pf-image with the gamemanager.exe and suddenly PinballX doesn't start anymore withi windows7. Things I've done: Uninstalled PinballX (1.80) Uninstalled and Reinstalled Sharks Codec Reinstalled PinballX with the latest version (1.83) in another path Started once PinballX as administrator Restarted (nothing's changed) Deleted all the media files in the media folders (table videos, screengrabs, etc etc) this is my log: and this is my pinballx config if started manually PinballX works perfectly My pc is: intel Q6600, 4GB, Geforce8600Gt 512mb,Windows 7 X64 Ultimate

solved: it was the STAYINRAM parameter in FP settings. Strangely when Pinballx was configured only for FP were ok even without this

The filename in the XML is ok, same name w/o the .vpt I've tried to reinstall PinballX and configured only VP...it runs perfectly But when I've added Future Pinball is born another problem, Now FP load tables (loading screen is not visible and there's only a white screen) and when I exit the table by pressing ESC PinballX minimize itself in the Taskbar....only with mouse I can re-enter on pinballx interface. It's possible that Pinballx doesn't support FP+VP?

Vpinball920.exe works perfectly and run as administrator but when loaded in pinballx crashes.. but what do you mean with match the name in my visual pinball XML? I think that XML is created by the game manager integrated in pinballx.. am I wrong?

I've installed the latest Pinballx 1.72 and with Future Pinball it works correctly (excepr for temporal desktop view during loading process..but this is OT for now) Visual Pinball doesn't load at all, and every time you choose a vp table Pinballx start to loading and exit with a not specified error. Don't know what you mean with "custom windows install" it's a normal windows 7 x64 ultimate edition with a standard wpakiller official and latest nvidia drivers and.. ..I'm always connected to internet @Zeenon I never used an antivirus, Firewall is integrated in the router, maybe some ports must be opened?

Ok Tom, sure..there's no log at all, not even the folder log, Draco..I've uninstalled and downloaded a fresh installer, then installed in a different folder (C:\Games\Pinballx) after the first setup, Pinballx.exe doesn't loading and even in the task manager process list there aren't any Pinballx process running in my pc the UAC is disabled

There's no log because clicking on Pinballx.exe it doesn't start Setttings, Game Manager..works fine, but Pinballx.exe not. I've the latest drivers from Nvidia My specs: Win7x64 Intel Core2 Q9400, Zotac Gtx260, 4Gb ram, external usb audiocard Edirol Ua4fx
