  1. Hello Everyone, I'm slowly updating my gameex configuration and I just added a Playstation section in it, wich is working quite fine. But after searching on the web I wasn't able to find any good "extras" pack for the playstation system like we have for Mame, super nintendi, n64, etc ... Do you know where I could find good packs containing : icons, snaps, avisnaps, cd cover, manuals, etc ... well anything to enhance a bit my Playstation section in gameex Thanks ! Michel
  2. I am also much interested by this feature, I am a hugen fan of zoom player and I would really like to be able to use gameex multimedia interface to use directly zoom player to view the files. This shouldn't be hard to do.

    catver.ini issue

I just uninstalled and did a fresh reinstall of GameEx, and I still have the same issue : no categories in the mame list. Everything seems to be configured correctly, the configuration is pointing to the good catver.ini, but in the end, after updating the mame game list, everything is working except the category section. by year, by name, or by manufacturer are working allright, only the by category is empty. in the DATA folder, the catlist.txt file is just empty, nothing inside.

    catver.ini issue

For your first problem you need to delete the gamelist.txt file in the data folder before updating your gamelist, it seems to fix the issue. For the second problem, there seem to be a bug when you enter more than one rom path. I tried a lot of things for my catver problem, but with no luck, still no category for the games, and the catlist.txt file in DATA stays empty, anyone have ideas ? I really miss the game categories from earlier gameex versions

    MAME Folders

Thank you very much, I reinstalled gameex and now it is working, I have the option in the configuration I do have another question : Is it possible to have folders inside folders ? I mean right now even if I put a sub category in a .ini file, gameex will display it in the root mame screen. Is it possible to write the .ini files in order to have sub folders inside the main folders ? for example inside your fighting games.ini I would love to have subfolders for capcom, snk, namco, etc ... Thank you very much
  6. Thank you Tom for all those new versions those days But I (again) have a small issue with GameEx. When I update my mame game list, gameex no longer use catver.ini informations, I am using MAME standard version, and I have the latest catver.ini version, with the good path to it in the config.ini, but Gameex is just ignoring it. There is no more category in Gameex (the catlist.txt file in data folder created by gameex is empty) In the gamelist.txt file every game is like this : 005|005|Sega|1981|True||False|V|224|256||[-LF-][-LF-][-LF-]You play secret agent 005, your mission is to take a briefcase filled with secret documents to a waiting helicopter. But, enemy agents are everywhere, trying to thwart your every move, luckily you are armed with cannisters of gas.[-LF-][-LF-][-LF-]|635[-LF-]1432[-LF-]1588[-LF-]1659[-LF-]1929[-LF-]2171[-LF-]2416[-LF-]2681[-LF-]|2P alt|0|False|True|joy4way I guess that between true||false there should be the category ? Every other file is working with gameex update feature, nplayers.ini, history.dat, mameinfo.dat. I am now using mame32 ini folders, but the catver support was great in the past versions and I misst it Thanxs

    MAME Folders

Mhh I must be stupid or something but I just don't see how to set those. When I go the the configuration utility, under basic mame settings or even advanced options, I don't see any option to link to the directory with those ini files. Could you maybe tell me what line to add in the config.ini file or where exactly put those category ini files ? thanks a lot
  8. Thank you very much Tom, now it is working perfectly
