i found some software with codecs and they work with media player, but gameex wants you to specify were the codec is!! the problem is how the hell am i supposed to find this one codec?

a feature i would like to see is the ability to take the songs from cd and place them on the harddrive, and then add the album to the playlist. and all this with the joystick. maybe with one button of rip cd or create album. as it stands i have to open the cap, get keyboard access, bring back windows and the rip with media player. ta

in gameex you can set a controller config, you will need to make a controller file for gameex aswell. dunno about your sound, as gameex is just a frontend to launch mame, rather than an emulator to play games, maybe you need to change a setting in the mame command line that gameex sends to mame! as for the game size, i had this one, and i went into the gameex config, and asked it not to change screen size.

does the path in your mame.ini file match the path set in gameex.ini file

hi dont want to be a dimwit but were can i get a free dvd codec to use with gameex!! thanx p.s my cab pics will be comming soon, real arcade unit 2 player with 19" flat screen sub woofer, 2 speakers, dvd drive. running full gamex features with mame and snes for the games. and coin op mech, with 2 player........... so far it really is as good as it sounds i just hope i havent screwed up the monitor removing the caseing and forcing it into the machine lol cheers

hi there, i have zsnes running on gameex aswell as mame and i have 750 snes games i was wondering if anyone has any snaps from donald duck to last game? i did try and make them on a 12 hr auto create snaps job, but the whole thing crashed on donald duck. thanks

yayyyyyyyyyyyy cool tom, found that setting and set it to not download problem is solved. bug it is allso a bug you now know about. bums out on firewall. if denied access. so where do i save the cover art, what format, does it do front n back? keep up the good work. i will send a little donation with paypal i dont have alot but i would like to show my gratitude for the program and its support.

thanks tom, but nope that aint it. i think it is trying to go on the internet to get covers or something daft. well i have firewall's 2 of and they aint going to let it onto the internet and have an open port to the outside world. is there anyway to disable this????? im sure i can manage to get my own album covers, if i knew were they are to be saved to. does this sound like a firewall thing, as it is allways with the jukebox only section.? thanks again

no malware power saving is set at 40 mins then turn monitor off as for: Attract mode timer set to 0 in GameEx were is that setting exactly? cheers tom

i was thinking that for gameex and mame you may be able to use advancemame, it has a built in graphic driver i think, so that you can use an arcade monitor, running the graphic's card with that may be better at least for the gameplay anyway. just a thought!

hi there, all is cool and very nice, however i have a problem with some kind of built in screen saver or something. when i play jukebox, music plays great, but then the screen goes black, totally like a blank screen saver. i have no screen saver settings in gameex, and it is disabled in windows. also after 5 mins of moving mouse, i did manage to see a black box with the windows title -quick whats -quick?????????????????????? thanks

thanks for repy i sorted the problem, i had 4000 games, so i went into config i changed the sleep to 8 and then asked it not to verify the roms. once that was done and i had a list, i then ran catver.ini, to filter into cats i then asked it not to show clones or the porn roms hehe and that seemed okay. i have a new problem now, but i will ask in a new post aswell. when on jukebox, screen goes black, like gameex goes into screen saver, but its blank and there is no options to have one or not...... and then it takes about 5 mins to get back and sometimes i see the screen with title -quick i do not have screen saver enabled on the system either.

hi there, Thanx for the arrival of gameex tom, it is cool, slick and great idea. however i have a problem, my roms make a total of 2.5 gig thats mame alone, when i try and update list i get to about 2% and it hits 100% CPU and then all i see is a box saying 15/60 in the title. i tried to load just 10 games, and this did work but i dont have 10 games, i have over 2000 games. i also have 750 snes games, what emulator is supported (snes9x or zsnes) and last but not least, my make snaps has gone, i dont know where but the option in the menu is no longer there or i cant find it. regards minus4 p.s problem is on both machines, over 1 gig CPU and 1 is win2k other is win2k3.net
