okay i will try a newer version of .net framework. however it is strange tho that it suddenly needs a new .net install maybe something is happening when the new patches over the old, but only when you have used a certain setting on the old version of gameex. see i turned off play video files in gameex config....... this is the only new thing i have done. i have then upgraded and got the error, so maybe that is something to look at??? maybe ta

nope, i know what it is for...... i have it installed to do my exams but it allready runs gamex, until latest upgrade. i dont play on this machine, it is just networked to the arcade machine i have, and i use this for testing first,,,,, and if all is okay it then goes onto the win2k arcade machine. but thanks for the lesson on windows.net

another i think of is. is it possible that when creating snaps, if it comes along a game, (specially with zsnes), with a problem........ it then dumps it and moves on....... rather than crashing.... or constently hanging. reason i say this is that i tried the create snaps feature...... and set it like 5 mins so i would get a demo pic. anyway some time into it, about 2-3 hrs on 26 hr job it hits a game with problems. you cant pick were or what games to snap, its a case of start again. thats it...... reckognise errors, but also why not pick what game to snap okayy so say you add another 3 games to zsnes, and u want snaps, then oooops start again. mind you i have no keyboard and only 3 buttons per player

dunno if it is requested, but ya know how ya can play ya playlist, and silence mame and play and dance at the same time ........ well, what about with the other emu's aswell, and not just mame. i got zsnes and it just shuts music down and then opens zsnes. if it is allready mentioned, then is it something tom is thinking about?????

lol wierd, i would have thought if you have no roms, then you have no games right. else you have other games but not as a rom?????? then wouldent you just put them in seperate rather than through mame?? confused me anyway :-?

hi, i have got it to run by having no commands, but again, when through gameex it wont have volume, well it does but very very low. i have seen the command explained as -volume -vol usage: -volume -12 the rate is in decibels i tried 12 but no change, low low sound. anyone got an idea thanks

sorry, you go to emulator list. then there is a dropdown that says project64. drop this and choose, the blank selection. this then fixes

okay i have found the solution to the gamex and esc from zsnes. just the ""?? scan lines ??*** and the sound now

you may have alot of roms, but not evry game may be mame compatible also if you run catver, that will filter some out itself. you can run mame in dos and it will show you the whole list of games cant remember if there is a count tho

hiya, i know i was a little rude last time, and i hope all is forgiven. ive not put the newest realease on yet, but im having some trouble i dident have a week ago. mame is all okay, but my sound is really low on the games i did know the answer to this, but for all my attempts i cant remember. I have a problem with the GUI and some games flashing ive tried all the wait sync options but they make it worse on gameex it looks like 2 white horizontal lines, they falsh accross the screen in constent rythem. for some reason, all of a sudden, when i exit znes with escape key, i get a black screen if i am then to press escape once again, i get windows and no gameex its allmost like the escape key is now ending the process for gameex and znes but keeping the process of hideos running, then escape again is ending the process of hideos leaving me with windows desktop. anyway thanks in advance

i had this on mine. what id did was go to windows media player i deleted everything..... playing history the lot i rip with wmp, and have each album in a folder with all info and song names, they are also done with high bitrate i then went into gameex, and in the dropdown of playlist names, i chose the option in the menu, relevent to wmp saying high bitrate media in my library. each album is in my library in wmp. i then get an album list, just albums also there is another way. you can go to gameex, go to jukebox in jukebox go to the last choice in menu (memory slipped) here you can choose albums too

hay smith. yeah i added a new prog to the list powerdvd i went into power dvd and made a few settings, full screen, keep aspect ration etc i then made a shortcut. mapped keys when powerdvd starts i press left and player 1 twice and it starts playing, mind you i dident know you could send commands like you have,,,, i shall look at that program thanks

I shall also advise that you leave this open, just incse anyone else gets a bit fustrated and dares to post a question in an un-proper im a programmer with no life manner.

hay tom, dont mean to piss anyone off, but my pc plays dvd fine....... with full picture and sound but if i use gameex dvd feature i get sound and no pic. not meaning to piss u off tom, but i have been trying to get this going for 3 months now and i dont seem to get an answer that works. and anyone is going to get a bit fussed when you yourself tom tell me that powerdvd will defo work. and powerdvd wont, it just zooms back to gameex. anyway, hope you have noted the bug with jukebox visualize. and also, what if i added powerdvd to the external programs list?? would that work better? how do i get back to gameex from dvd if i do it that way. cheers

hi there, okay i now have windvd and powerdvd windvd doesent work in gameex powerdvd just plays the noise, but no picture???????????????????? again has ANYONE actually got the dvd feature working, on a pc????? also when i exit dvd player, it goes straight to windows and i have to reboot if only arcade controls connected??? whats with that??? if you go to the jukebox, and go to visualize....... it works okay but try getting back to gameex.................. it doesent happen, you have to kill the machine. come on guys, this is really doing ma box in now, i thought things like this were fixed? anyway thanks

hiya all, im having problems with the dvd player feature ive downloaded and installed fraunhofer dvd codec this is what is in the list of dvd codecs. it is installed in C:\program files\fraunhofer i have a dvd drive, and i go to play dvd option on gameex menu the screen goes black and then just hops back to the menu.... i get no error, no messages nothing. any idea's has anyone actually got this dvd feature to work???? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ also second. i have znes, ive put it in, all games can be selected, however when it comes to exiting a game with plater 1 and player 2(my excape key) the screen just goes black and the game music still plays and well thats it,,,, i dont get gameex back or anything. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and last problem, the box i have only has 3 buttons per player, for znes does ayone have any ideas for a select key..... i have tried player 1 and 2 but they take out the grathic layers, ive also tried the credit button, but that does the same. anyway thanks
