looks cool, thanks ill try it. but then i guess i have one last question, when you use html applications what browser does it use? because i changed default applications on my windows 7 to all google chrome but it's like it uses some kind of gameex internet browser. so basically what i will have to do is use external application linking to kylo browser...which i guess isnt a problem.
-
ok ill try that for the audio not stopping. But what about the script errors any idea? ive tried updating browsers, java, and flash as well as doing some other stuff i dont remember.
-
this might be just me but this is a major bug it seems that anything that uses the internet program in gameex so to speak has these script errors that i have to click out of. for example when using the news section to browse these forums or the weather to go see the weather online
-
Ok sorry everyone it looks like i made a simple mistake, when i went to setup the external application method i described i forgot to enable it and disable the html application version, so it was launching the html app version of it so when i switched it the external application method (launching google chrome) worked but i would still prefer it to use the html app version of it so why wouldnt it work with the html app version of it? And another thing im also wanting to do something similar with pandora radio as an html app but when i load it the music from gameex keeps playing. any ideas on this one?

so im trying to get the youtube leanback site www.youtube.com/leanback to work inside gameex so i can load up gameex and then youtube tv and from there send youtube videos from my phone to youtube tv inside gameex but it keeps having these script errors and then just sitting at the youtube logo. I have tried setting it up as a HTML application inside gameex and that didnt work it had script errors and sat at the youtube logo. so then i thought well hmm i could set it up as an external application inside gameex and point to google chrome exe with the command to go to the site but oddly enough that still produced the same results. anyone got any ideas or have tried this as well? the log file is just me launching gameex and then using the external application i set up that points to chrome.exe and youtube tv link and then clicking yes to continue anyway on the script errors and then sitting at the youtube logo for a second or two seconds and then hitting backspace to get out of that and then escape to get out of gameex. although skimming the log real quick doesn't seem to mention anything even closely relevant. also should state youtube tv works just fine in google chrome....but oddly in internet explorer 10 it doesn't it says the page is unavailable. any help much appreciated. UPDATE!: I figured it out it was because i delete the default themes to save space i figured i wasn't using them so i wouldn't have to have them on there but I guess it needs them for other resources or something even if it isnt the theme you are using.
-
so i uninstalled gameex from one of my internal hdds to install it onto my SSD and now it crashes everytime i try to start it. any help? GAMEEX LOG would upload my gameex.ini but it looks like i dont have one yet for some reason. Should probably state that this is a complete re-install of gameex not using any of my previous settings except for the theme i was using
-
ok sorry but link2097 back again with another problem downloaded the after darkness theme and it crashes at startup i downloaded the theme from inside gameex and then it crashed once it restarted gameex and then i thought to download it form the themes section on the site hoping it was just a bad download or something but nope crash at startup again. any ideas? EDIT: should also state the obvious gameex is working with other themes. gameex log also while im here dont know if i should just start a new thread for this as well but im trying to view youtube videos from inside gameex but it is a black screen with no audio or video UPDATE!: so umm a restart of my pc seems to of fixed the theme causing gameex to crash at startup but any idea what the problem was? other themes didnt need that also id still like some help about that youtube issue (should i start a new thread for that?) UPDATE AGAIN: so i got out of gameex and tried to start it again now it is crashing on startup again, whatever the issue is there is for sure something wrong i must think. GameEx.ini

AWESOME! thank you that fixed all of them not showing up, all my installed steam games are now showing up. one last question though, do not all (or most?) games have videos , snaps , info , etc? or does it just take a bit for the program to gather that stuff? EDIT: it looks as if i found out the answer to my own question, gameex downloads steam assets while running. please consider this problem resolved (can i do that my self? i didnt see a place to edit thread only my posts)
-
well the thing that really is driving me nuts is that ALL of my steam games are on my non os drive in-fact they are all on the same drive in the same "SteamApps" folder so how it is finding some of them and not others confuses me. is there any other info i could provide? i looked a bit at the "asking for help" thread and i posted the files you asked for, what other logs or files could i post that could help?
-
First of all let me say sorry for not putting the logs in spoiler boxs i couldnt figure out how second yes my steam install is on my non os drive because i am using a 60GB SSD for windows 7 x64 and pretty much everything else goes on my other hdds and finally deleting the steamdata.ini helped but didnt fix all, for instance skyrim (the actual game) showed up but sonic adventure 2 still doesnt im kind of at a loss
-
Here are the steamdata.ini and log. it is also very strange for example you will see something in there called "Save 75% off of skyrim or something like that" which isnt even a game and i have skyrim and it is one of the ones not showing up. sorry if i wasnt supposed to just copy/paste the whole long thing here. This is the log And this is the steamdata.ini [AppID_24240]gamename=PAYDAY The Heistinstalldir=D:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\PAYDAY The Heist[AppID_8980]gamename=Borderlandsinstalldir=D:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Borderlands[AppID_202170]gamename=Save 75% on Sleeping Dogsinstalldir=D:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\SleepingDogs[AppID_41070]gamename=Serious Sam 3: BFEinstalldir=D:\\Program Files (x86)\\Steam\\steamapps\\common\\Serious Sam 3description=Serious Sam 3: BFE is a glorious throwback to the golden age of first-person shooters where men were men, cover was for amateurs and pulling the trigger made things go boom. Hmm I thought for sure that would do it but sadly no still only a portion of my installed steam library is showing up inside: Start Screen -> Emulated Games -> Steam Games for example i started up torchlight 2 and sonic adventure 2 both of which i had not launched since i installed them through steam so they did their first time setup and what not and then i fired up gameex and still doesnt show them.

hey just registered GameEx and loving it. but I am having an issue with the steam integration, it will find some of my games but not all of them it is very strange. i dont see how it can find some of my steam games that are in the same place as others that it doesnt find. if it would help to provide any files or logs or any other info i am not thinking of please ask.
