so how exactly is this set up now. Don't use the built in fx2 support and pick a new emulator (say slot 3)?
-
Is there a way to stop at selecting the number of players in Pinball FX2 with 1.97. If not that might be a good option, (I actually wouldn't mind just launching Pinball FX2 and picking a table there, but still have the PF and Backglass show in the main menu of pinballX.
-
Thanks I worked on creating my XML with all tables and its launching fine now, only trouble is when I exit out of a game with esc, it goes back to pinball x but leaves the dmd still running on my backglass. Where should I look for the trouble.

I posted this elsewhere, but should have posted it here I guess. I'm confused on how to setup the Football tables in Pinball FX, since they are under a submenu in the grid. How is that done? Thanks. Everything working as it should, great job TS

I'm confussed how to set up the football games within Pinball FX2, since they are loaded through a sub menu. How do I setup the XML file for these. Thanks really love 1.97 now. I tried NukeLauncher, but the built in support is so easy. Great job Tom. Al I have seen it posted elsewhere, but +1 for a way to for pinballx to stop at the select number of players menu inside of Pinball FX2.

in your databases/visual pinball folder there should be a visual pinball.xml file that has all your VP tables listed. You can copy that file and rename it to something like Visual Pinball Only.xml. PinballX will now list Visual Pinball Only on the list of options menu. You can do the same for FP.

do you have a link (I figured it would be easy to locate since every use would need it) I'm so close, it just launched the wrong game and I have exiting issues (FX stays running along with the DMD on my backglass) any ideas on the exiting issue? thanks

I kinda got nuke launcher working, and domated (I think twice, but its worth it). There must be a current list of games right? I don't want to type them all in, along with a current database xml for pinballx. any1?

getting somewhere now, I decided to turn on Future pinball tables also and I see that my all games list increased in number of tables, but there was NOT a system listed on the launch screen (I have VP, VP 9.2 Only, VP 9.9 PM5, etc but not Future Pinball). I then turned off Future pinball and got my number of tables, then turned on FX2 and once again I see my all tables size grow, but I don't see the Pinball FX2 system on the launch page. Any1 know what I'm doing wrong with both Future and Pinball FX2 to not have them on the launch menu where all the other systems are. Thanks
-
don't know if this means anything, but when I'm in game manager and select new list, there is not pinball FX2 system, yet I can pick it from the dropdown of lists on the left. (I downloaded 1.97 today so that can't be it)
-
I deleted the current Pinball FX2 stuff from my config and reran setup, but same thing. Nothing when I go and try to display other systems (no Pinball FX2 in list) also in the config.xml file the section for Pinball FX2 does NOT have a space and the database directory does (I tried both).
-
I can't get pinball FX2 to show up with my other systems. I look at the config and it looks good to me. Great tip, that gets rid of one of my system tray icons, but there still is one more, can't tell what it is because if I move the mouse over it, it disappears. its blue with a triangle in it, any ideas?

anyone tried Pinball Arcade with bluestacks on a cab?
-
Thanks looking forward to this as I'm running out of things to add to my cab, and I would like instructions for all/most of my tables.
-
No one has working instruction pngs do they (might be spaces or something else in filename if any1 else has this working). I really hate working with swf's.
-
unfortunately I'm at work right now, so my only access to a 2 screen setup is through Teamviewer. This usually works great, but when I try to view the second monitor it doesn't do anything. Very strange as the normal desktops work fine and was working fine the other day. I am running 1.74. Will try when I get home. Great program Tom, thanks I thought that I tried it at home, but will make sure before I say it doesn't work for pngs, swf's work fine but are harder to modify and maintain. Ok, I have tried it in person, and its a NO go with pngs. My cab makes the noise and i can flipper left and right, but nothing happens until I press start again to go back to menu. SWF work fine, png is a no go. Thanks
-
is the SWF format the only one that can be used for instruction cards? Would love to use Png instead.

is there a way to show multiple instruction cards. It works fine for 1 card/table, but I would lik eto have more. tabledesc, then tabledesc 1, then tabledesc 2 etc Can this be done now? -
thanks again for your help zeenon, I have cleaned up my database and everything is working great again. Where in NJ are you located? I'm in Lake hopatcong. We should get together and play a little pinball and VP.
-
what did you use to find those errors as I thought I changed them, but still same problem. Will double check again. Just currious how you found the errors so fast? Thanks this was driving me nuts!
-
incredible, works fine. thanks. What was the problem? I need to fix the weird chars in my database I guess too. Very curious. THANKS

I think the format is correct, I have been using it for a while. I have been cutting out large sections to try and find the offending line(s), but it does not seem to behave the same everytime. I cut out 1 letter at a time and pinballx started loading when I got to X (I cut out A-W), so I thought the offending entries where in the W's somewhere, but when I cut out W-Z, pinball x does NOT load.
