  1. Ok you were right got it working now, VPAUTO and Xpadder both launch when I try to launch a pinball table, but the game wont start now, I think it's interfering with GameEx's VPAUTO set as ALSO LAUNCH. =/ I want this to work so bad. When I input the /c (Close Command) in command prompt it closes the program but the same command line in GameEx didn't close the app. Anyone else have any experience with this particular kind of setup ? UPDATE: After I close the Xpadder program manually, without even GameEx running the pinball machine will load. As though it was waiting for the Xpadder process to end or something. So they are interfering somehow.
  2. Is there a way to use the gamepad with Visual Pinball, I'm aware of joytokey and Xpadder, but how would one go about setting it up to work with Visual Pinball, after a search of the forum i've come up with nothing conclusive. lol Setting up Vpinmame and Visual Pinball was a pain in the ass, and then I find out that Visual Pinball has no native joypad support. Is there a command line to launch and exit Xpadder? Or is there a simpler way that i'm just not seeing here? Last question for the week I swear! Thanks!
  3. Thank you guys I got it now! =D
  4. How come GameEx will find the correct info for some emulators, but not others? Is there a package of info files I can stick somewhere to get GameEx to show game information for my other emulators? Currently only Genesis, SNES, NES and I think one other one are showing info correctly. I want it to do this for GBA and N64 too, but i can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong here. Sorry if this is a total n00b question. K, found the section where the files are stored, GameEx/DATA/Emulators There's all the MDB files in there, something just isn't triggering then, all the ROMs are labeled correctly too..hmm =/
  5. I've been screwing around in GameEx trying to get it to work, the reason i'm not using Project 64, is that with this particular laptop Project 64 is stuttering way too much on me, even with the same plugins as 1964. I'm able to get smooth game play out of the 1964 emulator, and quite frankly 1964 feels a bit better built in comparison to P64. Anyway, I don't think the command line for Project 64 works with 1964, even after adjusting the exe name in the command line. Are we not allowed to use 1964 with command lines? Can someone shed some light on the subject it's driving me bonkers, when I used the P64 command line and change the exe name to 1964.exe all it does is pop open the 1964 gui and no game. Please help me out guys Thanks! !
  6. So even when using an emulator that can load those types of files on it's own you have to use DAEMON tools ? =/ boo lol Ok. I kind of figured that when there was no ROM path whatsoever in the command line. I was hoping I could give the DAEMON stuff a rest for now, but if that's what it takes i'll stick that command in there and point it to the Daemon tool lite directory. Thanks a bunch! x R i c k
  7. I have been trying to figure this one out, hopefully one of you knows an easy way to alleviate the problem. I have GameEx set to pop open FUSION with this command line "Fusion.exe -scd -fullscreen" -scd to tell Fusion to run Sega CD for the ISO/IMAGE, but to no avail. I just get the gray snow picture that you get when you start FUSION, but in fullscreen. Is there a different command line I should be using? I know it's not GameEx, I just need a pointer on how to set this particular emu up. Thanks Guys x R i c k
  8. Now I know how to set up box art paths and such, and how certain themes display certain items in certain ways. But my question is this, is there a way to show box Box art and a video clip at the same time at the left side of the screen? Like instead of just the clip can I show both the clip and the box art. I'm trying to set this up for the PSX emu, and I think it'd look nice with both displayed on the left side. It's probably an easy question, or possibly a difficult one. lol i'm not sure. But please any takers?
  9. no it is, I just redid the whole setup, it's pissing me off so bad. It's exactly the way you typed it. I'm so confused. I never ask for anything on here, because i'm self sufficient, but i think Tom Speirs is going to have to figure this one out. Everything is set up in a simple fashion as well. I've got the emulator in C:\Emulation\N64 and the roms in C:\Emulation\N64\ROMS =( To me it seems that that command line is faulty for this particular Project64 1.7. I was reading that it doesn't understand how to interpret "" quotes in a command line, so if GameEx is turning those [ ] Brackets into " " upon command line execution then the problem must lie there. I'm unsure. I need some input from you guys, is there an alternative command line for P64??
  10. I've been trying for 3 hours to make this WORK! =/ Whenever i select a rom to play N64 starts up in windowed mode and says "ATTEMPT TO OPEN FILE FAILED" These are all unzipped .n64 files, I'm not pointing the emulator to a setup exe, i'm pointing it to the installed project64.exe. I'm about to pull my hair out over here because I just tried to load .n64 roms using that same exe files through 3 other frontends and they all work no fuss. Something is up here, I looked at the advanced config and got rid of anything that might hinder start up, so it'sjust basic paths working path, rom path and the command line to start "Project64.exe "ROMPATH/ROM FILE" something like that, i'm about to cry. lol nothing has gotten me this agrivated ever.
  11. I don't get how to run this emu properly....all the other emulators have been configured by me to run seamlessly, screen sizes are consistant all at max TV scale and they all startup with no problems. Visual Pinball however is tricky to configure....what are somethings I should do to make this emulator run smoothly? I have visualpinmame and visual pinball installed and can play tables with the programs no problem, even got the fullscreen setting to work right, but now what command lines and such do i need to use to bypass that copyright info thing that pops up and make it so that windows doesn't ask any questions when loading a table and its roms? I just want it to play even if the table seems fishy to visual pinball I want everything run from my gamepad, nothing to click nothing to press on the keyboard, someone please help me. Tom I know you're reading this lol help! And for the love of god give me the registry file and serial key to get rid of that bloody intro screen!!! lol I promise i'll donate soon!!!!! =/
  12. Wow thanks so much man, I get a little blonde sometimes =P This is such an awesome frontend, thank you soo much for making this!
  13. I've tried several times to change settings in the config program that came with GameEx, it looks like an awesome frontend, but I just can't figure out what's up. I set the directories like the program asked and I put the emulator in C:/Emulators/Mame32 and roms in C:/Emulators/Mame32/Roms Then I went into the GameEx program and did the list update thing to scan for the games and only Altered Beast will show up, I have around 80 roms in this folder that work fine in Mame32 so why don't they come out on the GameEx program when I update the list? I'm sorry, i'm not that much of a newbie but i'm really confused sometimes with frontends like this. I set all the directories correct so what else could be the problem? TIA guys Rick
