Do you use the HQ set? If yes, it's a known problem.

Any solution/work on this? I installed the CCC Pack for my HD videos (with the old one they didn't run smoothly) but now my video preview support is broken again -.- You need to update your codecs but you're not able to because of the way GameEx handles it. I hope for a solution soon. :/

So I'm not the only one with this problem. Would it be possible that Tom change the preview in GameEx? I mean, the previews work only with the version of ffdshow which is on the GameEx website. Not with the newer ones, not with different codec packs which is kind of annoying. I broke the video preview features like 3 times because I installed new codecs. (like for mkv) I don't know if this is possible, or just too much, but I don't thnik that Circo would do this BIG amount of work AGAIN. Must be a pain in the a**. :/ But I hope for an easy and quick solution.

Good evening! Since I updated my preview videos to the HQ set (which is awesome! ), the videos don't play like they should. The preview appears, plays for like 3 seconds, then the video hangs for like 2-3 seconds (but the audio is still playing), and then the video continues for like 3 seconds, then it hangs again and so on. This is quite disturbing. In my video player the videos play like they should. Other previews work without a problem. So where could the problem be?

I prefer ePSXe. It's a lot of work to do the configuration with "Delta" for every single game. But with this method I have the best results. (on speed AND visual side because of shader support) But if you are quite new to emulators and GameEx, I would recommend pSX. It's a great emulator, it gives you the old classic playstation look, it is easy to configurate in GameEx and has a great compatiblity. (especially after the last update).

I was just wondering about the lack of updates in the last weeks. So I wanted to ask on what Tom is actually working. Search feature? Update of the themes? Or even more? (Like a rewrite of a lot of thinks [for example draw engine] = GameEx 2? ) Just my fantasy. I'm patient, but something like a progress update in this board or a blog would be great. Have a nice day! No, the database is just for the informations (series name, episodes name, description of the episodes, actors, genre, banners, covers,caps and so on) XBox Media Center, the meeTVshows and TVNight plugins for MeediOS and Meedio and the MP-TVSeries plugin for MediaPortal use this database. (I use Media Portal). You configurate the program and the plugin (folders where it have to look for series), and create rules with variables to read out the name,season and episode of the series. Then you test if everything was found correctly. Is everything alright, you can let it import all the information and pictures from the database. After the update it looks like this: http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/944/previewog1.jpg Or when you choose a series: >> Click here Everything autimatically And if there is no information for your series, no problem. Log in, create your missing series or edit it, add covers, add snaps, just help the community and the database. And such a feature in GameEx and other frontends with games, well, it would be a new experience. But I know, it's REALLY difficult to realize such a project.

Great work! Keep it up. I just had the idea that it would be great if this could become some kind of community project. It's just an idea. Like a site, with a community, everyone can upload screenshots (HQ and SQ), manuals, covers (HQ) and so on. (would be great for the newer consoles and pc games). Up to 5 screenshots for a game. If someone thinks he or she have a better one, they could send it in and moderators decide if this screenshot is good enough to replace a bad one or use it as an extra one. So there would be a complete database for all kind of games, with game informations, screenshots and so on. But I think this would cause a lot of traffic. Preview videos should be still shared with torrents. In such a way works the "Online TV Database" if some of you know it. ( http://thetvdb.com/ ) Just as an idea, maybe for the future, but I will make a concept art just for fun. So you can see how this would be. So, see you later

Sounds really really great! But I have a questions. How will the quality be? I really like HQ snaps and covers. So it would be great if the quality is as good as possible.

I really like the idea of this "portal website". The design is quite simple, but simple is easy, and easy is good But what I would like to see is some kind of community input into this site. For example the Recommended Games section would be great for something like this. People could write a description, post soeme screenshots, post a review, give ratings for a game, post new games and stuff like that. So this section would be really up to date. And the downloads could have descriptions or screenshots. (like the logo packs, you download them and don't know how they look like). But in fact, the portal site is REALLY a big step into the right direction! (especially the wiki is a really good idea) Keep it up!

Okay, I see. I want to use it per disc. One script for one game. (because not every game needs to mount an image).

I want to write a script in AutoIt but I can't really figure out how to do this. It should do the following steps: - mount the cd image in daemon tools (without autoplay, no idea how to do this :/ ) - then run the exe of the game/program - after exit, it should unmount the cd image and back to GameEx I know it's quite easy, but especially the auoplay of games confuses me. Hope someone can help.
