  1. sorry, irrelevant post.
  2. http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=41601.0 You could post GameEx in that thread so that all the new people who check the list will give it a try.

  4. Holy heck man, I just installed this release and I have to hand it to you, Tom. This is great.
  5. Well, I plan on adding ePSXe to my list of emulators but I fear the storage required to hold a lot of isos would be too much. Would there be a way to run the rom straight from a CD rom? It would be neat to see maybe an option to boot from a CD so say I select Playstation from the main list and then it launches it automatically launches ePSXe and whatever rom is on the CD that is in the CD-rom drive? Any other ideas on how to do this? Thanks.

    Command.dat

Hey Tom, a command.dat file was created for about 100 fighting games. It tells all the controls and special moves. I was just curious if you maybe were considering adding this into GameEx. Just a heads up, you can check it out at: http://home.comcast.net/~plotor/command.html
  7. ZSNES is by far my favorite.
  8. Looks great, Tom. I am happy you are deciding to make GameEx freeware still. I will try to make a donation some upcoming day. I haven't installed the new version yet but I see some of the features you added and am extremely excited to try them out. Great work.
  9. Sorry, it got mixed in with my TPS reports.
  10. I love GameEx!
  11. How come I didn't know about these videos? This looks really killer. Is there a way that if there is no video available for a game, to display a still instead?

    Internet Radio?

I figure with the use of the .net framework and stuff, would it be at all possible to have internet radio be used in the jukebox? That would be cool, a refreshing change from the songs stored on your hard drive. Possibly use like...a shoutcast server or something and incorporate it into the FE? Just a thought. Thanks!
  13. I like this idea a lot as well. Dang we give Tom a lot of work.
  14. Oh, I see what you mean, I was looking at it as more of a media player than a jukebox. Thanks Tom, sorry for the dumb question.
  15. I got a bit of a wierd error. Say...I load up GameEx and launch a MAME game, I then return to the menu after the game. Sometimes the jukebox replays the same song twice, but when I go to the jukebox to change songs, I select a song and I hear the little selection beep, but the song doesn't change. What do you think this is? Is there anyway to fix it? Thanks a bunch!
  16. I'm sorry for this thread. It turns out that my exe was corrupted. Just redownloaded and it runs. Sorry bout that....
  17. Hey Tom, Do you ever plan on adding support for other MAME builds, such as FastMAME and NoNameMAME? FastMAME is great for those who have an older system and need a more optimized build and NoNameMAME has great speed and all the bells and whistles. Would it be a royal pain to add support for some other versions of MAME like these? I tried loading up FastMAME by pointing GameEx to the exe but every time it just seemed to try to launch the game and just go straight back into the menu. Do I need to refresh my gamelist or anything of that sort? Thanks!

    Launching PC Games

Wow, the difference between a backslash and a forwardslash is tremendous. I figured it out after reviewing my config files. Thanks a lot! EDIT: Typo

    Launching PC Games

Thanks Tom. I'm getting a bit closer. The PC Apps menu comes up on the start menu and the submenu shows the bat file. But when I select it I get a command line screen that shows the location of the bat file then has the word PAUSE, in capitals like that. It then says to press any key to continue, and when I do so it sends me right back to GameEx. My bat file has the following entry: C: CD "C:\Program Files\ArmagetronAdvanced" ArmagetronAdvanced.exe And the config is identical to yours. Do you know where the problem lies? Is it something with my bat file? Thanks again for the help.
  20. This didn't get transfered over so I thought I'd repost. I was wondering if it would be possible to do this. I would like to have a seperate category of PC Games. When I go under the sublist there would be a big list of PC games that I have loaded. I know with some frontends you can do this by configuring an emulator config to look for .lnk (shortcut) files instead of rom files. I was just curious if you could do this with GameEx. The following link would be the method for doing it with MameWah. I'm just curious if it is done in a similar fashion. http://home.comcast.net/~cpviewer/downloads/pcgames.ini
