O.K. I purchased a cabinet already assembled and complete, for a real steal. Everything worked well, and there were no issues, until.... It came with a PC monitor on the tube shelf (it's an old capcom case), and I purchased a 25" T.V., with the intentions of using it's tube instead of the pc monitor. I decided to add a wireless net card, as I have wireless in my home, and it would be easy. I did that to facilitate the search for a driver for the Extasy 9600, 256mb video card I was installing, for it's s-video out. The card itself was not an issue, and the display drivers seemed to load and operate fine as well. The problem, I believe, came from when my son was playing, and he said the machine was updating something. Since it had never had any internet connection, I guess it was set to auto update, and it did. From what I can remember, the version prior to this update was from March(5.something). Now it has version 6.8, and I wrote all of this because I am not really sure if the update was what caused the issue. Most of the controls on the SlikStik no longer function. I can navigate with the joystick, and add coins and begin play, but none of the playfield buttons function. If I just use MAME itself, the controls work fine, so it isn't in the hardware. I have tried all of the things on this forum I could find, including re-loading the software, creating a slikstik.ini file, with slikstik=true in the field, in the proper area. I am not too knolwledgable with this software, and I am at a loss, needless to say, the unit is pretty much useless without the front-end, and it is such a great GUI also....please offer some help if you can....Thanks...
