  1. I'll check that. The good news is, I deleted a couple of bad paths (are they new?) and the update made it through, and it's working again. Thanks!
  2. I did some Windows updates, and now I'm past 1000. Is it going to go to 7 or 8 thousand or so? That will take the better part of a half hour. Normal? Oh well, it quit after 1000 or so.
  3. Plain MAME 138. The update disappears and I'm just looking at the desktop. Sometimes I get an error message (send or don't send) but not always.
  4. Thanks Tom. I tried that, no help. It gets up to about 600 and something in "adding series to gamelist" and just quits. The log appears to be the same.
  5. I have the exact same problem, except I don't get reboots. The last line in the log is "Adding History.dat Series info to gamelist". I updated history.dat in case that was the problem, no difference. Thanks. -- John log.zip
  6. I have an ASUS MB in my cab with AWARD BIOS, it's about four years old. Under power options in the BIOS, there's a "power up control" option. One of the choices is PS/2 Keyboard, and under this there are several options for which key you can use. I just assumed most PCs built in the last couple of years had this option. -- inc
  7. Here is a much easier way. Set your bios to power on the PC when the spacebar is hit. Since your Player 1 Button 3 is mapped to the space bar, all you have to do is hit that button. No muss, no fuss. -- inc

  9. Thanks!
  10. The vertical games has been addressed before, it's due to a change in MAME. You need to set USE BEZEL to "Don't Use Bezel". That will take care of that The new problem causes GameEx to appear to quit when you esc from a game, put the gameex process is still running. You can go to task manager and terminate it, and GameEx can be restarted. The log gives me a DNS error, so that should help Tom figure it out. I reinstalled the older version, and all is fine. johninc
