I've been trying to find a way to convert keyboard strokes to controller input, which led me to Vjoy, however GameEx aint having any of that. It works fine if I disable joysticks in the Wizard, otherwise I get "ERRORS DETECTED: EXITING 15:05:09.2 19/12/2013: Index was outside the bounds of the array.15:05:09.2 19/12/2013: at GameEx.GameEx.joystick.CheckJoystick()15:05:09.2 19/12/2013: at GameEx.GameEx.mainform.d3()"at the end of the log. I'm using Windows 7 64bit, so that may be the problem, considering I read that block key isn't supported (it seems fine outside of GameEX).

Suggestion: Multiple Favorite Lists/Custom Genre, I would like to be able to combine all my systems favorite Beat'em ups, Shooters, Run n'Guns etc. Gameex doesn't really do Categories well for most systems, and it would just be nice to be able to manually add favorite games from all systems and organize them by genre. Not to mention, in order for Windows games to show up with Steam, you need to add your games into Steam itself, and this can be a problem, since if you shut down steam forcibly, it will often erase all your shortcuts. This would be a pretty nice way to alleviate that problem. Thanks Scott

I am setting up my PS1 emulator, and I've got a problem. If I enable Merge Sets, games that aren't part of a set (games with a single disc) wont give the option to load. Games that have multiple discs (part of a set) and are of the same file format work perfectly fine so it isn't a filter problem. All my games are rar'd per image file (1 per disc) and they're all in the same directory. I'm using PCSX Reloaded, command lines are working fine and everything loads, GameEx just doesn't appear to see the game file unless they're part of a set, they still show up under the game list however, and all snaps/video/info work. Just to clarify the disks are all in there own seperate .rar files and GameEx is merging the sets by the naming convention. Sony Playstation.ini

Wasn't sure where I should post this (social or this) either way I suppose its sort of related to GameEx, I don't expect this to come from GameEx though. I'm looking for a program/AHK script/ anything that will allow me to change both the primary monitor and sound device, preferably on 1 hotkey. I ran into complications on my setup, specifically the fact you cant change flash players default sound device. My cab is running on the same puter as my HTPC and well, I watch a lot of Youtube and the majority of the emulators also lack the ability to change sound devices as well so it appears I'm SoL. Anyone know of any applications that would allow me to do this? I have tried a few applications, however Windows wont allow me to have 2 separate applications use the same keypress for these functions.

I've been doing some searching and cant find anything about it, Is it possible to have GameEx detect the Non-Steam games I've added to there client? I've got loads of games from various Humble Bundles, that I've activated on my main steam account, and since Steam doesn't allow 2 people logged in at once under one account (which it really should for people on the same network) I've had to make another account just for that computer, so I don't get bumped off games when someone decides to play something on Steam. I know you can have GameEx pick up the shortcuts if you make an emulator entry, I already have one setup, it would be nice to just have them through Steam however if its possible.

Alright this is what was preventing windowed mode, however there's still no way to maximize the screen without it changing to full screen mode, which makes GameEx minimize if you click off the screen. I've tried making it so GameEx will make the res 1920x1080 but that does nothing, for windowed mode at least. Alt+Enter works now that I've changed AllowWindowResize=true, it didn't before however, I also added -window to the end of the shortcut which did nothing. I'm still looking to remove the window border and maximize the window, however windowed mode does work now, thanks guys.

Yea I changed Run on Secondary Monitor to no, but Windowed/Full Screen keeps reverting to Full Screen, I have no idea why this is happening, I've tried editing it in gameex.ini and the GameEX Setup Wizard, but it just stays Full Screen. I've tried running GameEx Setup Wizard in admin mode and still nothing :/, its not marked as read only and ill try rebooting and changing it before I launch anything else, cant do that for a bit however as I've got something running atm.

I'm using an ATI XFX 5850 on the latest non beta drivers. I'm using a 47" 3D TV and a 24" benq LCD monitor (connected through a VGA to DVI converter temporarily) for the cab. The TV is connected through a 5.1 receiver using HDMI, there's no real reason as to why its my primary monitor, other than the task bar wont stay on my TV when I power cycle my receiver, unless its set to primary. Its fine if I change it, I'm sure I can use display fusion or some other app to mirror the task bar on both monitors. The cab I'm going to be using to house everything isn't completely setup currently, so its just more comfortable to have everything launch on the TV as default. Nothing is really set in stone currently.

While I'm attaching my logs I suppose I should ask, why does GameEx think I have an Emulator 30, this came up yesterday and I have nothing enabled, I've even tried clearing the supposed emulator, which doesn't work. GameEx.ini log.txt

My cab is part of my HTPC setup, and its pretty annoying having GameEx go into the taskbar every time you click off screen, is there anyway around this? I've tried using the windowed mode in the SetupWizard and changing my resolution to 1920x1080, but GameEx always launches in a small window, and when expanded it falls out of windowed mode. The way I would like to have it, is to just have GameEx borderless windowed and fully expanded. Thanks.

I'm about to do a fresh install of GameEx on a new hard drive, because my install is pretty cluttered. Which files am I going to need, so I can pop them in the new folders and not have to F around with emulator commands and the like.

So, I've set up a list of roms I want to copy to another folder, but when I run my batch file it either doesn't see the files or comes up with an error. All my roms are in .7z format, the command I'm using is "copy %ROM%.7z D:\mame keep" and I have the batch file in the same folder as the roms. Its coming up with the error "D:\GameEx\Emulators\Mameui64\Roms>copy romname.7z D:\mame keep The syntax of the command is incorrect." Thanks. Edit: Windows 7 Prof 64bit is my OS

Managed to fix it by looking up the 2 player clone names and just adding them to do not filter. Changing the categories in Setup Wizard did nothing however. Thanks for suggesting filters, wasn't thinking it would find my clones since there merged.

What I would like, is to have Mame display either both the 2p and 4p versions of a rom, or just the 2p versions. Games like The Simpsons, only allow you to be certain characters when you play there 4p variant depending on the slot in which your controller is set for. This wouldn't be that big of a problem, if GameEx didn't use them as there default rom, but since it is, I cant simply show all clones or else my list goes from 2.6k to 6.7k. Is there some sort of work around to get other roms to be prioritized? Thanks .

Yes, the only time games show up, with verify activated is if I have them in the do not filter section.

I'm not super knowledgeable of Mame, but I do have Gameex's Mame Setup pointed at the catver.ini in the data folder. Also, you are more then likely right that a good chunk of them are adult games etc. however that doesn't explain why I'm missing The Simpsons, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Turtles in Time, and apparently all the Street Fighter games as well. If Verify roms isn't active, my list comes up empty.

Sorry didn't mean to violate any rules, this issue still isn't resolved. I was just mentioning I never updated my own roms, I replaced both my old roms and emu with a 0.148 merged set and MameUI 64bit. They are installed in different folders, both sets are completely separate and intact, the games I mentioned not showing up (TMNT Turtles in Time and The Simpsons Arcade Game) both show up and work in my new set using MameUI 64bit, but they dont appear in my Gameex Mame List, along with 500 or so other roms.

I couldnt be bothered to update my 0.142 set.

So I just recently updated to 0.148 and a good amount of my games aren't showing up. There's about 500 of them not there, I've got my list filtered in MameUI (Clones,Mechanical,Unavailable,Non-Working) so this number should be fairly accurate. The games I am missing, aren't specifically casino games, I only know of 2 that should definitely be in the list, The Simpsons Arcade Game and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Turtles in Time. I'm fairly certain there's a giant chunk of decent games in there that I wouldn't like to miss. I have run Update List Info multiple times and still no change.Total rom count after filters should be about 3050 and its currently at 2564. I am using a merged set. Thanks in advance GameEx.ini

Im currently using GameEx purely for sorting out my games and ease of access (and for the videos and all the cool shit) so I dont have any use for all the other stuff bundled with it. It would be awesome to just boot GameEx directly into the Emulator section, is it possible? Im looking for something similar to Arcade mode but with the regular UI.
