  1. @Shuwatch!I tried putting the missing roms into the DoNotFilterROMS, but they still didn't show up.I dug i a bit deeper and it seems like it's only games using the sega32.c driver that's affected. Arabian Fight, Dark Edge, Jurassic Park, Spider-Man etc.(https://github.com/mamedev/mame/blob/master/src/mame/drivers/segas32.c) Running a full compare of MAME 0.162 and 0.163/0.164 listxml export it looks like all sega32.c games has changes in tags and device names, which probably explains why GameEx won't pick them up.
  2. Hi guys! I think this is my first post here. I've been using GameEx for some years and have spent countless hours making my own theme, databases, artwork, tweaks and customizations etc. It's a great software, and i'm eagerly looking forward to GameEx Evolution where i plan on putting much effort into updating and redesigning my theme and possibly release it here. But regarding my post: Starting with MAME 0.163 i've had problems with multiple MAME games (about 10-15 of the 500+ in my collection) not showing up in GameEx. I spent some time going though my GameEx setup to figure out why, but ended up waiting to see if a new version of MAME and/or GameEx would fix it. There has been a few GameEx updates since MAME 0.163, and last week MAME 0.164 was released. The missing games problem still persists with 0.164. I was at that time running Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit. Last week i upgraded to Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. Since my GameEx setup is heavily customized i figured i'd try a clean standard installation at my workcomputer to keep it simple. - System is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. - Installed GameEx 14.33 and MAME 0.164 64-bit. - To replicate the problem i used the game "Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder (World)" - ga2.zip, which is one of the roms i'm missing in GameEx. I also tried with the clones ("Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder (US)" - ga2u.zip and "Golden Axe: The Revenge of Death Adder (Japan)" - ga2j.zip) to see if they were affected to. - Put a few romsets in the roms folder of MAME (some i knew showed up, and some i knew didn't), and checked with RomCenter that they verified correctly with 0.164. - Started mame64.exe and ran the different games to confirm that they started. - In the clean GameEx installation i changed a few of the default settings. Changed the path to my MAME folder and a few settings like "VerifyRoms=False" and "OnlyRoms=True" and made sure "OnlyWorking=False", "AllowImperfect=True" and "NoClones=False". - Booted up GameEx and ran the "Update List" function for MAME. I got the same results on this setup. The same games didn't show up in the GameEx mame list. Checking the log file i noticed that the XML export (listinfo.dat) correctly lists the romset in question. The "[Arcade] MAME.mdb" database created during this update does not contain these games/romsets. I've also tried with the "Only Existing Roms" turned off to get a full listing in GameEx, but the specific roms are still not showing. I've attached the GameEx.ini and log.txt files as requested in the forum policies. Thanks in advance GameEx.ini log.txt
