Im working on setting up a kaillera server for us gameex users to setup online multiplayer games.

Im new to this and am pretty close to getting it off the ground.

Anyone willing to help? Id like to start testing an a couple hours or so.

Would it be safe to assume my connection is to slow?

Also, I can't play anymore tonight, if I don't pay attention to my wife every once in awhile, the guy across the street will...It's 8:00pm here. But if I can help in the future, I will.

Thanks Frequency and Oggalz and Hellothere.. It was sucessfull.. Tho slow in my bandwidth. I will get it hosted on a faster connection in the future and dial in the few kinks.. But we know it works.. so the hard part is over.

Officially, no. Empirical evidence shows that network play tends to attract the wrong kind of people. Network play is also seen as a novelty feature with no development value, so none of the main developers are interested in implementing it.

Do not ask for such a feature to be implemented, and do not ask us for any support using 3rd party programs. Specifically, do not ask about a well-known but license violating build that starts with a 'K'. That such a build exists and openly flaunts their violation of the MAME license only serves to reinforce the assertion that this feature attracts the wrong crowd.

I understand what you are trying to accomplish and why. I question the need to potentially antagonize the group that makes this hobby possible. As Tom mentioned in another thread, GameEx is now the number one googled FE. I wouldn't want Mamedev to associate GameEx with something that they aren't in favor of (for right or for wrong).

Its cool.. Actually I figured if you had a problem about it you would let me know. Please dont let what I do for this forum affect your wishes about the directions I take it. Id have no problem hearing it from you first.
