jman
I might be missing something here, but is there any way to map 2 keyboard buttons to the same GameEx input?Eg:Back = 25Back = 36(This only seems to pick up the first mapping.)I have a head to head cab, and it gets quite boring if only one player can control things...Thanks. Judgelord
That's really a sweet idea.I also suffer the same problem here. Player 1 only has the ability to navigate properly through GameEX and it's really annoying when someone at player 2 hits a button or moves the joystick up, down, sending the list to the key it was pressed...Sorry for not helping with a solution, posted to keep the topic in the first page. emphatic
I think most people would like this feature. I think it would look better though if there was only one line per parameter, like in MAME's configuration:Up: 25 or 26Down: 12 or 10etcIf this is a NO-NO feature, you could do it manually by launching an AutoHotKey-script on GameEx's startup that remaps player two's buttons to player one's. And for every emulator have a "launch before" that kills that script (so you can play as usual) and then a "launch after" that starts it up again before re-entering GameEx.Emph

jman
If the parser for config.ini could be modified to work with a OR statement, then we could have this functionality, plus keep compatibility with existing configs...Another possible feature that would be nice to see would be integration of credit recognition.Eg: For emulators, jukebox, kareoke, etc, have an option to requre credits to play (x credits for a snes game, x credits for a song...)I know the emulator side of things could be done by making a little app that requires you to press a key (credit) to continue, and if the user doesn't wish to pay, quit then send an escape key a bit later to kill the emulator. But it'd be nice to have this in gameex, so the look and feel are the same, and key config file is shared...
sWampy
I'd like this as well, also being able to map my mouse 1/mouse 2 buttons to select and back would be nice.

sWampy
??? you can just click on the <---- arrow this takes you back or do you mean with no cursor?<{POST_SNAPBACK}>I'd like mouse 1 to be select currently highlighted item, no matter where the mouse is, and mouse 2 to be previous/back no matter where the cursor is. I have player 1 button 1 mapped to select, and player 1 button 2 mapped to back. It would be nice if the 2 mouse buttons acted the same way. Mainly it's mouse 2 that I'd like mapped to back as well as the player 2 buttons.

I could reassign the mouse button with some software, but it would be cool if the frontend could do it for me. My trackball/mouse buttons are side by side, actually 3 sets, one left, one right, one in front of the trackball, depending on the game, would just be cool if which ever set of buttons you happened to be using could all work the same way. IE, button on left is select, button on right takes you back a level. Right now, mouse 2 does nothing, you have to reach across the console and find player 1 button 2, or scroll the mouse up to the back button. But I'm very short of space. There's just enough room for the microATX motherboard between the two monitors. (overall height of cab is 14cm).Maybe I could of done this if i got two lcd's with very good vertical viewing angles (eg. lcd tv's), and mounted them flat on the top. jman
I've been trying the AutoHotkey method for remapping player 2's controls to player 1. I've got something like this:#SingleInstance forceif %1%{R::Send {UP}F::Send {DOWN}D::Send {LEFT}G::Send {RIGHT}W::Send {LShift}I::Send {Z}K::Send {X}A::Send {LCtrl}S::Send {LAlt}Q::Send {Space}2::Send {1}P::Send {P}}elseExitAppThen I just pass a parameter when i want to activate the remapping, then none to deactivate. The problem is that the remapped keys do not control GameEx. I've alt tabbed out when in the menu, opened up notepad, and all the keys appear remapped as they should be...I've tried setting AutoHotkey to "SendMode Input", "SendMode Play", using the low level hooks. I've also tried enabling/disabling Direct Input in GameEx, and the use slickstick/ipac mode (i use an ipac2 usb), and combining these with the different autohotkey settings.Has anyone got this to work, or know why GameEx does not see these remapped keys? Please help, my cab is nearly ready...
