daphne problem

Hi guys,

ok, ive got Daphne installed and working with s.ace and d.lair, ive now started to add to the collection, bu theres my problem, ive have "obtained" a copy of esh's Aurunmilla but it has only a m2v ( video - which is a single file ?? ) a ogg file ( sound ) and a romfile containing various bins, now i know that daphne normally uses a framefile but i dont have one with this, does anyone know how to create a framefile, ive googled it but the developer of daphne doesnt support it since about 2008 and the forums ive looked threw dont offer any advise , i would like to have all the laser disc games on my cab, but im not sure how to go about fixing this ? As allways ANY advise greatly appreciated.

Ian - Celly has provided a good document for setting up Daphne here. I would review the pdf in his post and setup accordingly.

Ian- I can confirm that esh's aurenmilla has only 1 m2v file and 1 ogg file.here is my esh's framefile

on a side note i havent played a daphne game in quite some time.I think i may play some space ace later and get very frustrated trying to complete that hard ass game.

Nice one thanks mesk, TBH i played Dragons Lair and Space Ace Games as a kid and must have spent enough money then to be able to buy the actuall cabinets, and ive kinda forgot the pattens to them as ive got older lol!.

Thanks Mike, but i have Space Ace and Dragons Lair working 100% in GameEx ( except i dont have the score overlay screen ) i was just short of a framefile that mesk has kindly posted for esh .

Cheers dave, if you could zip them all up for me that be awesome ive found "somewhere" to obtain most m2v and ogg but they have no framefiles odd or what.

Well unfortunatly it doesnt work for me, ive followed the guide that celly posted and no go, any help you can supply will be greatly appreciated, i get a black screen and it return to GameEx, dlair and space ace work 100%. I had problem with these before but frequency sorted that by adding bank 0 10000101 bank 1 010000111 ( or simular )

Ian-the way I have daphne set up is I have all my video\audio files in one folder,and the roms in another.

how is your setup? it seems astron belt works for you.maybe you have a bad video file?

May try doing that, coould be bad file as Dragon Lair and Space Ace work ok. Im currently downloading Dragons Lair 2 to try that but it nearly 4 gig and coming in very slow even though i now have a 30 meg broadband line .
