Im wondering if there is a way to have gameex list a games clones when I click on a game,instead of just putting them next to each other.for example,if I choose the game "720"on the play this game screen,I would like it to list 720 rev 1,720 rev 2,and so on,like it does for console games.if this isnt available please consider this a feature request

So you are making a feature request to have MAME titles show up with a GoodMerged type look, correct? With GoodMerged sets, GameEx displays the parent name in the list and lists all games within the archive once you open the title. I think that would be a really nice way to have access to all games yet keep the main list simple and usable. Of course, I don't know how hard this would be to implement. Also, you then have to know which game is the "best" version that most people would want to run. That might be the biggest issue unless MAME has that info already.

That could depend on filters. That's why I leave the bracketed text intact on my list so I know exactly which rom is loading.

That depends once again on filters. My double dragon shows in my list. Depending on your filters, if you want that game to show then simply just add it to the Don't Filter These ROMS setting in Advanced MAME Settings. Filtering ROMs can and never will be perfect as many things come into affect. So many choices in GameEx to filter roms that some unwanted roms will be filtered out because of it. That's why Tom created the Don't Filter These ROMS setting to account for that.
