NullDC is the best Dreamcast emulator, but doesn't come with joystick support.

Use xpadder to make your keypad/joystick work with nullDC, it works great.

thanks a lot, i'll try it.

i'd like to play daytona and san francisco rush, is dreamcast the best way, since the arcade emulations don't work ?

No probs, NullDC will play them both well.

I use Sega Model 2 for Daytona

MameUI64 for San Francisco Rush (decent spec required)

NullDC for San Francisco Rush 2049

thanks, this is precious information, since i only use mame and don't understand the use of other emulators that they talk in the forums

in both cases (Sega Model 2 for Daytona and MameUI64 for San Francisco Rush) did they use the mame roms?

Daytona works OK in Model2, but it's a bit wonky on my system. I was hoping to get it running on my driving cab, but I think it's a bit too slow (Athlon XP 3200+). I'll probably just try to use my actual DC to play this and SF Rush.

Really, Got to say the emulation is near flawless on my system and using a steering wheel definitely adds to the experience

I use GameEx's joymapping for Dreamcast because frankly, I don't want to open a second app. This is why I wish the whole gamepad was mapped. I got tired of the dreamcast's config deleting my control setup. every since I used joymapping in the advance config for gameex, everything has been going pretty smooth. just need the d-pad, right analog, and triggers mapped to be complete. i used to use pinnacle profiler but that conflicts with gameex's control setup which confuses button presses once i am back in gameex. this is why i am waiting for the remaining buttons to be mapped in the advance config for gameex.

i tested both pinnacle and gameex's button mapping for halo:ce and i have to say, i love gameex's better. the movement is a little tighter than pinnacle's.
