Hi guys,

Ive been using gameex happily its all working fine, but the only problem im having with it is any game that has the "press ok or left then right" on the joystick i can not get past it without using a keyboard!

all the buttons work fine in game for left right, up down etc for both joysticks.

ive checked mame for all the settings of the buttons, they are all set for left = key left etc etc rahter than keypad 6

i've also taken a look in the settings for gameex's custominput file and it all seems to be setup correctly

I dont know where to turn next, is there something im over looking or can someone advise how to add an "ok" button shortcut for these games such as buttons 5+6 on player 1's controls?

Hope that makes sence

Thanks!

Zac

You should be able to press left/right on the joystick to get past the nag screen just as you would on the keyboard. If you have things mapped differently, then that would change things a bit.

In any event, you can always use HK's MAME compiler to custom compile a version that does not include the nag screens. The thread has a step-by-step instructions that will guide you through this process. It's as easy as clicking a few buttons and pressing "compile".

Do you have multikeyboard enabled in the mame.ini? Do you have a mame.ini? What build of mame are you using?

I would also second BK's suggestion.. However I believe this can be resolved as well.
