I reinstalled with an update, but had the same problem again.

How do I go about altering the video codec used by GameEx? I've updated my codec pack recently and that may be the issue.

Thanks.

It looks like your operating system is missing some files in regard to database operation. Was Gameex previsouly working on this install, or is it a new install? I know in the past this can happen with lite versions of windows, and normally a reinstall is required.

Otherwise Data\Data.mdb may be corrupted. You can tyr renaming that file and then installing a fresh copy with a new install of GameEx. You could also try resintalling the latest version of the .net framework as its a reporting a file missing from that.

Thanks for that, I ran a custom install with Windows updater and it updated two of the .Net frameworks. I'm curious as to what happened to the .net frameworks in the first place.

Things are working fine now.

Cheers.

Tom,

I have been having issues with GameEx crashing on my cab (GameEx has encountered a problem, and needs to close). I tried a manual update on my cab yesterday, and the update failed while trying to update .net to sp1. I manually downloaded and installed Net 2.0 SP1, and then GameEx installed fine. I Believe that I was updating from 10.33 to 10.70, but don't qoute me on that. I am running XP64, and it would seem that GameEx was not trying to install the (x86) version of .net.

Headkaze - After getting Gameex to update correctly, I still had GameEx crashing issues. If I disable the pluginLCD, GameEx starts fine.

I tried installing several different codecs out there and GameEx crashes on startup. When I uninstalled the codec packs GameEx works. Not sure what is going on except I'm using Win 7 x64 bit version not sure if that has anything to do with it as I never had these problems using Win XP. Right now I can play videos in GameEx but there is no sound not sure what is going on.
