UpdateList MAME

Hey guys,

Been a long while since ive posted. But im getting some problems with my mame list that i think is related to what .dat files i have in my mame folder.

Can someone verify what .dat files i need in there so i can run an updatelist?

I am running an update list successfully, but i find that afterwards it is SLOOOOW when selecting a game from the list.

any help would be great.

The first time you open the game info page after booting GameEx, things will take a long time (depending on your config and your system specs). This is due to a change that Tom incorporated recently having to do with database caching. It's only slow the first time you enter the list, right?

I noticed one thing with my setup that maybe a long these lines as well. The first time I fire up Game Ex and select a game from the Mame list it can take close to 30 seconds when selecting a game to the play game menu but there after less than a second on all games on my list. I guess I noticed this a few updates ago. Not really an issue for me but may have to do with that caching you are speaking of because my computer specs are pretty current with what is out...

Yes, this is an update Tom incorporated around 9.69 or so (at least 2 versions ago anyway).
