Neo geo games not working in mame32

My neo geo games are not working on mame32, I have an older version of mame32 .62 and they work fine but the gameex version throws up a whole bunch of errors, wrong checksum, invaild lenght, sfix.sfix not found. But it works with the other mame32.

Is there something I should be doing.

If I have understood your problems descripton:-

As mame progresses through new versions, the roms that work with it are also modified, remamed. some may have colour roms added or better dumps, or even whole new chip dumps, as well as new games.

You need to update your roms to the version of mame you are running.

Clrmame pro can SOMETIMES fix some of the roms by renaming them to the correct names expected and also fix some of the rom files. This is worth a go.

So, either stick with the earlier version of mame or update and download the new roms.

I cannot help you with where to get roms though.

just one thing, have you done an "update list" in gameex for mame?

I'm running .127 (no u), and mine don't work. I force rechecked my roms, and checked my version of mame using the -help option.

The 127 roms do work with mame 0.126.... I actually spent a little time on this yesterday, it would help if you guys would report this stuff sooner.

Yep - Looking at the game screen, it says:

Work ram error

Address Write Read

oo1ofd82 5555 8055

I hit escape, and go back to the command prompt, it says:

none: invalid bios

Warning: the game may not run correctly

BTW: the game doesn't run (correctly)
