Hi,

I have registered version of GameEX and I have been using it for MAME only. I recently set it up for SNES9x. Everything looks great, but when it is time to play the selected rom the screen goes black and then sends me back to the select rom screen. When I load SNES9x with out GameEX the roms play perfect. Does anyone have any idea of what I am doing wrong. Here is what my SNES9X.INI file looks like:

not sure what the problem is as not run that emu..

The only thing i can say is that (out of personal preference), zsnesw is a great snes emu and runs a treat from gameex..

I did look into several when making a choice of which one to use for gameex and decided that I found zsnes to offer the best overall perfomance, speed and compatability (and ease of set-up)

Try it and see...?

i agree with gf, zsnes is also my emulator of choice.

your config looks right to me, maybe you can try to put your roms in a folder without spaces like "snes_roms". thats the only suggestion i can give.. are your roms packed with 7z? then you gotta enable it here: GamesIn7Zips=True

Doesn't the {esc} command make that emu full screen? I can't remember which one, but I know at least one of the Nintendo emus used escape to maximize/window. Is it possible that you modified another emulator to get your SNES9X config? Perhaps escape exits this one instead of maximizing? Just a though...try what Brian said!

ESC actually makes that emulator hide the menubar. Alt + Enter makes it fullscreen. ZSNES has better compatibility so we recommend you use that emulator. Don't see anything wrong with the way you're running from commandline.

the point is that {ESC} as a sendkey will not make the emu exit - only a real ESC command would stop execution...

anyway - I STILL recommend giving zsnes a spin - it is perhaps one of the best snes emu's. It may not be the most fuly featured, but it is the best for running fs snes games as full speed. again try it!

The only thing I see is that you could use a romfilter, just in case there's other stuff in your folder, Otherwise try not using a Database...
