As I've recently donated to Emumovies I have downloaded the complete Mame-Set of Previews. They are sorted in Subfolders from # to Z, and I'd like to keep them that way to keep them structured and make updating easier. However, GameEx doesn't show the videos if I'm pointing it to the root directory. Is there a way to include the subfolders in GameEx or would that be a new feature request?

Short answer: No

Long answer: There is no way to use subfolders natively with GameEx. It is possible with Windows to link files and directories in such a way that it MIGHT work for what you want using the 'ln' command, but that would require some knowledge of the command and/or research into more details on it.

I wish I didn't have to do that subfolder thing on the ftp but the server starts dropping files for some reason if there are too many in a directory. For now if you have to break it up, I also put any new files in the WIP folder as well as the mame folder. Also someone emailed me last week that might be helping out with dat files since I have had no luck with them. Hopefully he comes through (crosses fingers).

I would suggest an "Upgrade" folder. I would like to just pull down the new vids that are in 125 that were not in the last set.
