Hi... simple question but my fiddling around hasn't resolved it. I have GameEx and MAME running beautifully in a cabinet, and would simply like the games playing on "full screen" like they do if I run MAME directly... so without the side grahpics of GameEx and whatever else that show up on the left and right side of the screen while a game is being played. But I just can't find how to turn those off.

Thanks in advance!

Those are called bezels. If you don't want them, you need to make sure the -artwork switch is turned off. This can be located in the GameEx command line or the MAME.ini. If you don't see the artwork when running MAME directly, it's most likely on the GameEx command line. So, you need to turn off "use bezels for vertical games" and make sure the -artwork switch is not in the MAME command line options.

1st

open gameex advanced config/basic mame settings and set 'use bezel' to do not use bezels.

2nd

in Advanced mame settings put these commands into the 'mame options' text box and save.

-nobezel

-nobackdrop

-nooverlay

If any off these switches are present remove them

-use_bezels

-use_overlays

-Use_backdrops

Hope that helps?

Ooooh, you're gonna want to get some hydrogen peroxide on that so it doesn't get infected ;)

Thanks, but I got a plaster with Bob the Builder on it and a lollypop for being good. :)
