Could anyone give like an overview of what has happened in the gameex community in the past year?

What is new and revolutionary that will blow my mind? Also what emulators have been updated and/or released????

I am an old advocate of the forums here and used to love contributing scripts and things. (You know I am an old poster when I am member number 117/4500 users on the forums)

Blow my mind here with some of the things that Tom has implemented lately and other users who have contributed.

I actually created most of those video game databases that Tom includes in his installer.... has anyone ever updated or improved those Tom?

I miss configuring my gameex.... but it got kind of old automating and organizing my games.

I need to upgrade from a build from 12/30/2006..... to the latest.

Does anyone even remember me from like two years ago?? I am probably ancient history here in this community.... ;-)

I got married since the last time I posted here, so you can imagine why I dont have as much time to play games...

Tom.... where did this file go??

This used to be that entire zip I created of screenshots....

Welcome back :) Yes I do remember the name. As you can see my ugly mug is still around.

Alot has happened in a year, like the search feature, updated databases, more plugins, still regular updates happening to GameEx. Overall things have been going from strength to strength.

You can always check out the News to see all the updates since January 2007.

BTW Congratulations on getting married!

Yeah I am glad some people still help on the MSACCESS databases that I extracted using GHETTO code.... if I rewrote my extractor it would be much more efficient now that I am a better programmer.

Search feature seems pretty frickin cool and I did install the latest (and of course it never botches up my configuration)

Where are the plugins?

BTW Congratulations on getting married!

Thanks man.

I didn't realise there had already been a tool to do this. We created completely new sets of databases grabbing the data from www.mobygames.com then matched the names as best as possible to the various GoodTools with a couple of tools and scripts that a couple of us made from scratched.

I believe all of the plugins are included with the Gameex download. There is a plugin manager that you use to enable (configure) them.

These are the plugins that I use:

If you have an ultimarc 360 joystick, there is the Pluginultrastick to load maps automatically (HK just wrote a version of this himself, Oqqalz's version is included, but does not work with Vista.

The LCD/LED wizard is used to controls lighted buttons, Betabrites, and LCD panels.

There is also HK's CPWizard which is very cool...It's a standalone program that is now enabled in Gameex configuration, which will display your acual CP layout, and the appropriate labels for each game. It will also display the correct color button for each game if you have lighted buttons.
