zsnes issues

I'm having two issues with zsnes.

1. When I exit a game, the menu browsing in zsnes is slower. If I go to the start menu and return to zsnes, everything works again.

2. zsnes only plays some of my goodmerged roms. Most will go to a black screen, then return to GameEx.

I switched to snes9x and I am not having any of these issues with that emulator.

the Zsnes fullscreen is wider on my widescreen. With snes9x I have black bars on both sides. So I think I'd rather use zsnes if it wasn't for the issues.
