Brian's always wanting a break from emulation, so I thought I'd try this.

I've seen each of these three at least 15 times:

  1. The Breakfast Club - Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, and three guys ;)
  2. 48 Hours - Nick Nolte, Eddie Murphy
  3. The Matrix - Carrie Anne Moss, and some other people (lots of inside jokes if you watch it enough "copper top")

Anything with Julia Roberts

  1. Pretty Woman
  2. Notting Hill - If your wife wants you to watch a chick flick watch this one
  3. Erin Brockovich
  4. Pelican Brief
  5. Conspiracy Theory

Comedy - After listing these two, I realize I like "Smart Ass" comedy. Anybody suprised?

  1. Fletch - Chevy Chase - My kind of humor, and Dana Wheeler-Nicholson is my kind of cute
  2. Good Will Hunting - I'm not sure it's a comedy, but again my type of humor "Do you like apples?"

Honorable mentions:

  1. Shawshank Redemption
  2. The Sixth Sense
  3. Lethal Weapon
  4. Die Hard
  5. The Terminator (all 3)
  6. The Family Man - Another "Chick Flick"

I guess that's enough for now, if we can all decide on one, I have you over for a movie. ;)

12 Monkeys is my alltime fav movie. Pulp Fiction is a classic too. Blade Runner... too many good movies to mention! I used to work in a video store so I would get all the movies on "preview" before they came out for release. That was when everything was on VHS though...

1. Fight Club

2. Amelié

These are easily the top two. Other faves are Undercover Brother, Superstar (Molly Shannon is hilarious) and The Big Lebowski.

The King Of Kong: Fistful of Quarters - It's not my favourite film but it ties in nicely with GameEx or more arcade gaming in general definitely well worth a watch for any arcade nuts :) my best score is 35900, still a long way to go for world domination :)

Thats probably pretty close to mine too.

There is too many though. Howevery, some movies I can still watch over and over again, and although there not my favourites Id have to rank them as so as there still very watchable. Mostly comedies are like that. So Id have to add American Pie (First 3) and Shawn of the Dead, although in terms of favs pretty much same as HK.

EDIT: Like to add Dune (Dino D version) and Breakfast Club. Perfect movies for when bunking off School back in the day :)

EDIT 2: Reminder to self: Buy Dune when it comes out on Blu Ray ;)

The Breakfast Club? Did you notice that's on my all-time favorites list? Apparently, just because I don't understand British humour, doesn't mean you can't understand U.S. humor....Or maybe it's just typical U.S. arrogance, We don't have to understand your humour, as long as you understand ours. ;) (I'd put a  here, but it's not funny, it's :( )

I'm always glad when I put a smile on someone's face....

I wanted to elaborate more myself, however, I thought it might not be appropriate. Let me say that:

Ignorance has no boundaries, not citizenship, race, religious beliefs...

And without ignorance, we coudn't have arrogance, racism, persecution...

Anybody here watch the sitcom "The Big Bang Theory"?

I think it's a riot! Are those guys geeks, or nerds?

Since they have no social skills, I'm guessing nerds.

It comes on Mondays at 8:00pm on CBS.

My wife and I watched "Vantage Point" the other night, it was interesting. I like it when somebody comes up with an unusual idea on how to unravel the plot...

It's better than I make it sound... :P

I like a lot of foreign and independent stuff, which makes me sometimes a hit, and sometimes a *hit. I do "movie night" every once in a while at my place and next on our plate is Machine Girl. Right. So... I'll do y'all a favor and keep my recommendations outside of that, and also outside of the "so bad it's good" genre, too. In fact, I'll recommend just one flick.

If you like The Matrix, do yourself a favor and see the most underrated sci-fi/action flick of the 21st century, Equilibrium. Yes, Christian Bale is more than the sum of his parts as the American Psycho or as the Batmans.

Do yourself a favor and see it. It's great.

SPOILER ALERT

Actually, this probably isn't much of a spoiler. This flick is a mix of 1984 and Fahrenheit 451 with a seasoning of "Medicated Nation"... Indeed, while you're at it, treat yourself to some real music.

- Hackers

ROFL.

Acoustic couplers connecting at 28.8, and viruses that have true-color, animated faces *singing* at you... which are impossible to detect because such programs only occupy two kilobytes, and such. :)

I'll hand it to you. Me at that movie was almost as fun as the time I attended The Craft with my Wiccan friends.

I think they said "Laughably stupid; preposterously inaccurate."

They summarized it better than I did when I forced those poor bastards to watch "Hackers" with me.
