Try reading that and see if it helps...Some strange Directx stuff lately.

My problems started with a windows update.

Shaunopp's was something else.

Read the whole thread and see if it helps.

Mods - Maybe this should be pinned for awhile....ALOT of Directx errors lately.

I'm having the same problem it was working fine a few minutes ago now I'm getting these errors out of the blue. I even tried installing the latest Directx with no luck :(

*Edit* Nevermind I seem to have fixed it :)

Still problems after trying everything in those links. How can I regress gameex? I just want to play my games again! :(

I dont know why this is happening, but Im certain is not related to the last version. GameEx is stalling loading graphics, which would probably indicate changing themes would fix this.

If not did you perform any other updates?

You could try deleting all the bitmaps in the data folder.

 right,. after a few hectic day's at work and on-call I finally got some time to sit and sort my cab out tonight,. so five minutes ago I switched it on and,.. it worked! no changes or nothing. Now it is doing another update as I write. I await with baited breath and shorter than usual fingernails! :P

I recently discovered this thing:

My cab has two screens so I extended the first with the second screen.

It is more than a year with gameex works fine with my radeon xt1950 for both individual games single display that multi-display

By chance these days I have done some testing applying settings screen individuals and / or with two screens but clones.

The result is that I get an error similar to that reported in this topic, gameex does not start

If I take the hard disk with gameex and put on any other PC it works

The cab of my computer is updated as others and I have never had problems of any kind, I tried with all the theme but the problem remains.

I have a dual core intel with 2gb of ram and a radeon xt950 and this is the part final of the error :

Do you really have 1271mb of video memory? That seems weird. Perhaps SLI?

It's also wierd everyone elses have 0mb available, no? Anyway that number is completely wrong as I only have the single 512mb card :(.

I have the same problem (single 512mb card) but if you set two screens (extended mode) can be operated

But I want to fix it because I want to use the "clone screen mode" , in this moment it crash

This looks to be a theme issue to me. Can you try the default theme please.

Further info for you its failing trying to load "pleasewait.png" or "pleasewaitbar.png" from the themes media folder.

Id check you have those images and that there not corrupted.

I found that all the themes I had didn't work except the default MCE one (MCE Glossy I think). I've rolled back to the previous version for the meantime though, I have to get a theme worked up by Saturday X_x.

(Copying the files from a system with the previous version resolved the issue by the way).

I solved the problem uninstalling completely the ati-drivers with the complete removal tool and installing the latest ati-drivers.

Catalyst Control Center I installed after the restart
