ok, i figured that part out but placing the bat file in my roms directory doesn't do anything.. i'm trying to have the roms match the .avi videos, so i put the roms in the left column, avis in the right, matched them, ticked export batch, type .avi in the field where .zip was exported to my rom directory, ran the batch, and nothing happened.

all set, stu you really are a genius for this tool. i actually had to put the .avi's into colomn 1, and the roms in column 2. after ticking export, i changed the field to .avi. save it to the folder the avis are in and run it there. pure genius stu.

O.K. stu, now i hope i'm not over-staying my welcome, but as you've been a great deal of help already i pose one more question.

is it possible someway to have a similar program as the fuzzytext, only you drop your .avi videos for example into list 1, and then the corresponding roms into list 2. would there be a way to delete every rom without an exact matching video? basically i have more roms than i do videos, so i'd rather do away with the roms that are without a video because it looks bad scrolling through the gamees list seeing all these eye catching videos and then have it go blank when i reach a game that doesn't have one.

i'm guessing it'd be a simple command.. deleting whatever files in list 2 that aren't listed in list 1.

just seeing if it's doable.

Why not use the create snaps option to create a video for your missing roms? but if you really want to delete them give this tool a try, I wrote it a while ago fpr a job at work, in the top directory box tell it the folder with your roms, it should list all your zips in the window on the left

In the 2nd directory box tell it your folder with the avi's

Now down at the bottom left in the replace extension box type avi in the first box and hit update list

make sure the 3rd box on the right is set to LIST and press Go

It should now list all the files it found in the middle list

Change LIST to DELETE, change the replace extension box to zip and change the "that exist in directory" box to you rom folder and hit go again

I have another question..... whats the easiest way to seperate the roms between versions?

I used the nointro dat file. Deleted all the unknown roms, now how do I split them into folders depending on version?

I didnt see that part in this thread

Well gameex doesnt work with roms in folders... Meaning if you do put each rom set in its own folder gameex will not see them.. They all have to be in one folder

I wanted to create the set similar to pimpdaddystu. I wouldnt be using the roms in folders for gameex. Simply to create a rom set that I like.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been busy updating many of the video sets along with Boxs, Carts, Titles, Manuals & Game Snaps all with standard naming conventions verified. Most are going to be No-Intro and the rest re-checked against GoodXXX. I am posting updates almost daily over at emumovies.com

While I am going through I am also replacing any missing or bad videos to make sure that the sets are 100% complete.

Well if anyone else is a retard like me, all you have to do is use windows very own search function! just search for japan then euro then USA to get your 3 folders.

I also didnt see your file finder utility. thanks stu!
