When I play a Nintendo 64 game with Project64 1.6, after I exit the game, GameEx errors and shuts down. This does not happen with any other emulator... Any suggestions?

OS: Windows MCE SP2

Emu: Project 64 1.6

GameEx: Version 8.13

How are you exiting the EMU? Mapped keys? ESC, ALT+F4

I've had this happen alot and had to change the way I exit the emu.

Try making sure map keys is enabed in the emu options (gameex advance config) and hit esc.. see if this crashes gameex

Yes, I do have mapped keys enabled, because when I hit escape it automatically exits the emulator. This works great for every other emulator other than project64

Are you using an advanced emulator config file in your GameEx configuration?

Use advance config to set button combo to send ALT+F4 this should close PJ64.

BTW what key actually closes PJ64? If it is ESC turn mapkeys OFF this way gameex wont intercept it and it will close the emu correctly and gameex will regain focus because the program is closed.

I have the advanced config V2 enabled in the settings, so I don't know if that's the reason why its not working.
