Hey Tom,

I noticed something strange with Daphne. When loading Dragon's Lair using the Daphne Loader (v2.1.45) with fast boot option enabled, the game loads instantly. Going through GameEx however, the game will take about 30 seconds to load as-if the fast boot option has become disabled. Do you know what could be happening?

Not to point out something terribly obvious, but you do have the fast boot option as a command line to dragon's lair in GameEx?

Yeah I thought the same thing but not sure about command line options for this version of daphne, specifically this feature. Do you know where to find documentation that specifies this command line option?

Sure,

Just select Game -> Configure Daphne Options -> Advanced Tab from DaphneLoader.

There is a select box for "Display command line." When this is enabled before launching the game it will show you the command line options that were passed to daphne.exe

Oh yeah didn't see that option. Here are the commands mine spit out for dragons lair.

daphne.exe lair vldp -framefile "C:\Daphne\framefile\dl_framefile.txt" -blank_searches -min_seek_delay 1000 -seek_frames_per_ms 20 -homedir . -fastboot -bank 0 11111001 -bank 1 00100111 -sound_buffer 2048 -x 640 -y 480

So for GameEx we only need to set -fastboot ? What are the bank 0 and bank 1 options for?

I think those are DIP switches set on the original arcade game. So I think they handle options that could actually have been set in the real machine (ie, difficulty, etc.)
