[RESOLVED] New error in GameEx AE

So I now currently running GameEx AE in Windows 10. I just recently did a complete install if Windows 10 and GameEx AE. Everything is running fine except every so many times when I pack iyt of game play in Mame, thenackground video playing does play and all get is just a black background. If I load another game and come back out sometimes the video clip in the background plays and sometime it doesnt

A few questions:

-  Is it always the same game or random?

- What MAME version? 

- Are the ROMs of the same version as your version of MAME?

No its random. It's the background video for GameEx 

Mame .267 and all the roms are for this version as far as I'm aware.

i cant up load my gameex.ini. Ive tried multiple networks and multiple devices

Zip it together with your latest log.txt file.

I can see that is an old version too.

What made you want to use an old version on a new install? Would just like to understand. Did you not know it is updated?

Are you referring to .267? If so its a set that works with GameEx and runs everything i need to or want. It's the same set I've been running for 2 years now.

It was just working on GameEx with windows 11 but was lacking a few minor details as I had previous enquired about here in the forums. 

 

For some reason, in 2 networks and 3 computers i cannot download anything onto this platform. I continually get error 200

I think he may be referring to your GameEx version that is a bit outdated.

You should probably be using the latest version of GameEx for triage of your issues. You are presently on 19.22 vs current version 19.41.

Please upgrade to the latest version and attach new copies of your GameEx.ini and log.txt files.

How old is the version I'm running? 2 years?

What would I download and install? I was running AE. 

Is that downloadable all by itself?

Regular GameEx and AE are packaged in the same installer now and have been for quite a few iterations now.

by the way, you got no gpu drivers on that new machine:

Adapter: Microsoft Basic Render Driver

Thats an issue.
