Winkawaks 1.63 NeoGeo shows missing file for every rom.

I am using the latest GameEx front end and have a decent understanding of how to configure the emulators. I am having problems with Winkawaks 1.63 starting games. For every rom ot has a missing file error (always the p1 file) when I look inthe rom zip file the p1 file is there. I can play the roms in MAME and in Kawaks from the kawaks file and load tab after a few tries but they won't start from Game ex. Any ideas?

I do not run this emulator so not sure I am going to be much help. In looking at the log.txt file I did not see any "missing file error" noted. Can you try loading one again and provide a new log.txt copy? Also, look for a copy of runitgame.bat and attach - thanks!

P.S. Your response with the gameex.ini and log.txt files attached was accidentally deleted as I noticed a duplicate post. Attempting to delete one deleted both, so we will need another copy of your gameex.ini file as well. My apologies and thanks!

Have you had any luck finding a solution? From my research and based upon the error you are reporting, if you are attempting to launch the games via WinKawaks and MAME and not able to via GameEx, then it is probable that there is an issue with the BIOS and/or ROM set you are using.

You noted that there is no problem running the games outside of GameEx however which is puzzling.

I didn't find a solution. I can run the roms through MAME and in Winkawaks without GameEx so I suspect they are ok... I would like to run the Neo Geo games without the bezel that MAME uses, so I would like to figure this out....

Have you attempted to setup and run them via Retroarch? That might be a more viable alternative.
