Hi,

only windows media center remote control is supported.

Or are supported other kind of remote controls like lirc/winlirc?

Ciao.

Enrico.

I don't have other remotes so don't know for sure, although GameEx should be able to take standard mouse and keyboard. I am happy to and would really like to implement support for other controllers if people can work with me on it.

Thanks.

Tom

Wow a reply drectly from the programmer!

Winlirc is program that can learn codes from all infrared remotes.

Supports al lot of easy to build interfaces http://www.lirc.org/receivers.html

http://winlirc.sourceforge.net/receiver.jpg

Winlirc is slimply a server that send to all clients connected info about the key pressed on the remote.

I interfaced my poor frontend for my media player: http://spazioinwind.libero.it/ea/invenzioni/ycbox/

How i can help you to interface it?

Is possible programming a plugin?

Best Regards.

Enrico.

p.s. if you want i can build an ir-adapter for you. (I only need to found a broken VTR, Broken VTR are the best source for ir photodiodes! ;-) )

I don't think this would be possible. LIRC is for Linux, whereas GameEx is for Windows... Could be wrong though. "WinLIRC" looks like it's for Windows....

Not sure if this is what you're after, but I have an ATI Remote Wonder remote on my cab and it works perfectly. :)

How did you interfaced this remote?

This remote simulate the pression of keyboard?

I have one of these remotes too, although I don't use it. It works by RF connecting to a usb dongle. It's not infrared.
