back to desk top but hideOS is still active??

Stupid repetitve question... Did you download the update from the web or did you let GameEx autoupdate itself? If you let it autoupdate, that's probably your problem. I couldn't get GameEx's attract mode to work at all until I just downloaded and installed overtop of the existing installation. If you DID download it directly from the web, then I'm lost same as you. :)
