Create MAME videos fail. "Error -5"

Everytime I try to run create MAME videos from the start menu GameEx folder shortcut, I get this.

Why and how do I solve it? And everytime it changes my bezelversion from 2 -> 1. I believe this to be part of my problem as well. I'm gonna try to write protect my gameex.ini now and try again. Please help.

I also had this error on my cab (see post here http://www.gameex.info/forums/index.php?showtopic=2588). My PC that I use to test everything before it goes into my cab did not give me this message but created black videos only. I eventually downloaded an older version of Mame and got the create videos to work. This definetly looks like a bug of some sort to me, whether its with newer versions of Mame or with GameEx I don't know. No one seemed to know how to fix this for me so I tried an older version of Mame. Try that and see if it works for you.

Oh, and have you seen the bezelversion bug that I've been... bugging you about? Every once in a while I change some setting with the Advanced Configuration app, mostly non-MAME-related stuff. And everytime I have to go into CONFIG\gameex.ini afterwards and change my Bezelversion=1 -> Bezelversion=2 manually. Hope this is gone in the next version. *ducks*

Yes and my log is the same in the other post I linked to. Error 5. I also ran the update list in GameEx and tried to create videos again and still got the same error.

Can anyone tell me how big the complete mame videos are in size that gameex creates? Over 3 or 4 Gigs?

I still get this if I'm trying to create MAME videos. Also, I get a "no disc in drive I:" error. Like GameEx is trying to open something on this drive. Can't remember having set up anything on that drive.

Can you post the log.

Also, have you got SP1 and all updates for .net 1.1?

I have Windows XP Home SP2 with .net 1.1 & .net 2.0 (with the latest updates, do I need to check for all updates for 1.1 even if I'm running 2.0 now?) running on my laptop. My MAME directory as well as all games roms are on an external HD connected through Firewire. I'm just puttin up as much info as I think can help.

MAME is 0.110 and I have an updated gamelist.
