Hi,

ive done a search on the forum and haven't found the answer so forgive me if its already been answered and i missed it.

I have been using the instant sheller on my new system for a few days now with no issue, i have been switching back and forth between enabled and disabled a number of times.

problem started today when i tried to switch back out of it using the normal process (ctrl- alt delete running explorer etc..) after reseting back to windows defaults and rebooting the system still was in the GameEx Mode.

nothing had been reset at all

I re-enabled the settings using instant sheller rebooted then tried to turn them off again but still no go.

i have manually reset most of the settings but trying to sus out what has caused the reset not to work.

any ideas?

Cheers

Jim

to reset explorer to boot on startup you need to change gameex.exe to explorer.exe

located [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]

then reboot and it will loads explorer up instead of gameex you can makes changes then change it back to Gameex.exe if you want.

Yep have already done that, just trying to figure out how the revert back to normal settings works, does it save the current state somwhere and then just undo the changes by switching to the saved version or does it have a set of instuctions which it knows is the default?
