Prior to recent updating of win10 and latest PX everything worked great.  Now having an issue with my real dmd (PinDMD2 NOT PIN2DMD).  Works fine when inside game it’s just when browsing inside PX either get nothing or if I grab the video files for real DMD inside game manager I get the video.  I’d like to have the real thing like before when it reads from the rom (at least that’s my understanding of how it works).  I read somewhere to copy the correct .dll’s for your dmd and paste in PX root folder and tried that… still no go.  I also seem to recall years ago when I had this working it had something to do with selecting the ROM button for each game in game manager but that doesn’t seem to help now either.  Actually I'm not really sure what the ROM button even does inside the manager.

Any help would be appreciated much.  Thank you.

Please attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files when requesting assistance for an issue.

Also a copy of your one of your xml files for the tables impacted may be helpful on seeing the table settings.

Also provide your pindmd_log.txt from the pinballx directory and the xdmdlog.txt from the log directory

Check if your pindmd.ini in your pinballx directory is setup correctly

I have the same issue, just go back to an earlier version of pinballx for the moment.  3.75 works for me. Tom said he will take a look soon.

Great so where do i go to get older versions?  Doesn't look like they are available anywhere.

all version can be downloaded on the same page.

Just click on "see changelog" on the download page of PinballX, to go back to a previous version

A word of caution. Your issue may not be the same as someone else's. Going back a vetsion may help short term, but without the support files and working through the issue, will definitely make the fix take longer.

May I ask what the rom button does? Many thanks.

It's if you want to use the actual pinmame rom in the pinballx rather than video/image for the dmd. You'd have to set the use pinmame in front end option in settings too.

That's what i believe anyway, i've always used dmd videos in the front end so might not be totally correct.

He is correct although there is a bug with versions somewhere past 3.75 that this functionality stopped working.
