Hey everyone. :)

I'm having a little issue with ZINC. Perhaps someone can help me out since you're all the coolest forum members on the entire planet. Now that the butt kissing has been covered... ;)

For some reason when I play ZINC games (like SFEX for example) my computer will freeze up about 10 minutes in to the game and I have to hard start it (hold in the power button until it turns itself off). Not sure why, maybe I have a configuration wrong or something.

Anyone who can provide me a step by step on setting ZINC up properly so I can see what I'm missing? Much appreciated. :)

Perhaps the computer is over heating

I would turn on TASK MANAGER

Click on PERFORMANCE tab and expand it across the screen to get a view of a long collection

Minimize TASK MANAGER and start you ZINC game

Run it for about 5 minutes or so - then quit ZINC

Now maximize TASK MANAGER

Was the CPU pegged at 100%?

If not - look at the Windows event viewer and see if any errors in there occured about the last time you froze up

What kind of computer do you have? Specs?

...I am guessing it is heat related

Thats exactly what I was going to say. Is your computer overclocked? Is it time to clean out the inside of your case?

Delicious. It was a cooling problem indeed. Smokers shouldn't use computers. :)

I added another fan to my tower and air dusted the board - seems to run faster too. Thanks you guys! :D
