Upgrading Versions

Hiya Folks and Tom!

I have noticed, that about every other upgrade I install (automatically) I get a continual message that there are upgrades available, no matter whether or not I have upgraded. I have tried to download and then install, removing the auto function out of the equation, it still does not work. Like I said, it appears to happen every other version. When I try to use the downloaded file, it errors out. Any ideas??

Perhaps the download is bombing out without finishing. Maybe try a download manager that supports resume like FlashGet.

Try disabling auto update option from within the Gamex Config and do manual downloads from the front of Tom's Gamex site instead. I do use the auto update option on a pc here and download it on another. Maybe your antivirus is timing out the download or sumat?

Will give it a try..just weird how it only happens every other update....
