[RESOLVED] Setting up Real DMD (with Freezy) in FX3

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

Can someone please help me understand how to set up the command line in PinballX settings so I can see the info on my DMD?  I'm using a real DMD, PinDMDv2, and I can get the DMDext test to work (the colored virtual DMD and real DMD image), and I've created a killtask.bat which closes dmdext.exe when I exit the table (so I only see one instance).

Additional Info: freezy and pinball X are in 32-bit mode.  I believe PinballX and my Windows 10 are in 64 bit mode.  All are set to run as admin.

Another Related Question: I don't think the settings for DMD resolution or relocating the DMD matter in FX3, correct?  For FX2 (since I have a few tables there), is there anything different?

Thank you in advance!! :D

Not sure what your real question is.

For fx3 dmd ext has a parameter that closes dmdext after quiting fx3. So no kill is needed.

If you want dmd videos for fx3 in PBX, check the gameex ftp and seach in.my directory.  I created mp4 files from all the table(except vol5) that can be used

If you got a realdmd, dont use or setop a virtual one. I dont use fx2, but thought freezy geab that one from memory too. Make sure you have the latest release from freezy, otherwise it won't work with fx3

Sorry as I wasn't clear in my original post.  My main question is what should my command line be for my situation in order to see the dmd on my pindmdv2?  (Meaning, the command line to write in the PinballX setup when pinballfx3 opens)

My current settings are attached.  The real DMD doesn't seem to have any activity.  I have the latest version of PinballX and v1.7.1 of Freezy (32bit)

Whew...it works!  I replace v1.7.1 with 1.7.2 of freezy dmd, changed fx3 to show dmd at 1040x272, and reflected the below parameters and settings...

Thanks All!!  I hope this helps someone

There is also a version 1.7.3 that is more compatible with the latest version of fx3.

https://github.com/freezy/dmd-extensions/issues/197

You should not have to use  the-legacy option, and there is a parameter to close dmdext after fx3 is finished too, so you dont need to taskkill the process.

If I am at my cab, i can send a screenshot of my settings
