anyway to grease up my trackball? anyone with a 2 1/2" from ultimarc? i have one, and installed it into my control panel tonight (didn't wire it yet) and when i hit it forward with a golden tee like force, it doesn't seem to spin like the actual arcade game. is there some kind of wd-40 trick? will it break itself in? please let me know.

I have similar problem

Betson Imperial- X- Arcade -Happ

...seems that they either dont spin as long or they have that "dut-dut-dut-dut" because a piece of shmutz got stuck to the roller

I dont think WD-40 is the best thing out there for trackballs

It eventually evaporates away

I would think something that is used on skateboard or skate wheels may be best

I heard that Silicone lubricant is good

I'll just go the the game rooms and ask how they keep clean the Gold Tee Golf and Bowling games clean

I report what they do soon as I find out

Might be the wrong 'type'. Some are designed to spin on and on, some aren't. Sorry, don't know much about trackballs but I did read it somewhere...

katuuz did you buy it new or used? If used check your roller shafts to see if there s any wear and tear on them. You can also "break-in" your bearings by using a power drill. Find more info using a search over at arcadecontrols.com (ive seen you in there) :) Good Luck

Arcade controls.com is the place for all questions on your sticks et al. You'll get reaching a wider user base on there. Gamex forum, is well, for Gamex, and the associated bells and whistles that can be built around it, granted. But specifcally Arcadecontrols.com is well good for such lines of enquiries!

Good luck!
