Need help GAMEEX and MAME32

Hi All,

Im a bit of noob, i need help running gameex and mame32 on my htpc with MCE,

Everything runs fine no probs, but only thing is MAME will not let me use my USB Joypad as 1st Player but works as 2nd player?

I have used the config tool in gameex but still nothing happens?

Any one got any ideas?

Tom, there's too many people asking how to set up MAME on this forum, perhaps you should create a sticky topic with FAQ soon. People confuse configuring GameEx controls with configuring MAME controls is what I'm talking about...

My two cents. I see alot of questions that aren't related to gameex here, and honestly I have made several. I love gameex and all of the features it provides. For all the questions I have with gameex this board is great about answering them, and very polite. However I have questions about other stuff that I also want answered sometimes. I find that even though they aren't totally related to gameex there are alot of people here that have gone through the same thing and have the answers. This forum is alot better than the offical mame forum where they are rude and disrespectful most of the time. I try to keep my questions related to gameex for the most part, but sometimes there are times that I don't. I appreciate the responses I get on these questions and would hope that I can continue to ask them here.

I concur. I don't mind answering questions for people. They're all on topic in this forum as far as I'm concerned.

I like answering MAME related questions as well, but the thing with this MAME/GameEx controls confusion is that the same question has popped up like for times in the last 48 hrs, and with a sticky called "Setting up your controller with GameEx/MAME, people can help themselves too. It's not like I don't go off topic myself from time to time.

I know you didn't and I wasn't trying to sound that way either. I just wanted to point out that I go to this forum alot for mame stuff that honest has little to do with gameex itself, and the reason is because of the quality of people and answers you get elsewhere. The sticky is a good idea for that since it comes up alot, I thought you meant about all off topic discussion, but thats my fault for not reading closely enough
