can't route my emulators

i'm using NEStopia, Snes9x, Gens+, Project64, ePSXe, and Chankast and can't route them from the start menu in config... I press browse next to Emuator #1 for example, and when I browse to the emu folders, there is no .ini file. There <i>is</i> however a .ini file in my Gens+ folder, but it doesn't work. This is the last thing to be done (configure my gameex, and somehow create and display a custom background) and my first mame cabinet will be 100% complete. It's playable, without gameex i'm sure, but i havn't run 1 game yet because gameex will make it look so much nicer! thanks a million.

Not sure what you're trying to do, but the .ini is useless unless it's GameEx specific, and even then you still have a great deal of work to do before your emulator will be up and running... Like the ZSNES INI that's there is an advanced GameEx specific config file, not your emulator's INI. You more or less have to add settings yourself (such as working folder, .exe, rom path, etc) even if you import an INI. If you need help with this, the fine people here would be more than happy to assist you.
