Mame32 and GameEx

I know that when I use Mame32 from within GameEx, it is using a command-line call to run the game I chose from the menu. Is it using the options I have chosen in the Mame32 GUI, or does running it from GameEX mean that I need to add my own switches to the GameEx config? Basically I mean, are my settings from Mame32's GUI getting lost while running it from GameEx?

GameEx only boots MAME32. After the program is initially run, GameEx has little to do with operations. So, to answer your question, MAME32 uses its own .ini file so you can set up your options through the MAME32 GUI.
