Gameex freezes at begining

Hi, I have a big problem with Gamex since the update i've done after the 6.17 version. When I start Gameex (standalone and through MCE), it freeze at the menu and I cannot use it. The menu is totally freezed.

To fix it, i tried to update it many time but the problem still remains again and again.

I also tried to delete all the games data using the configuration application (ADMIN/DELETE) but nothing changed.

FYI, when I starts the Windows task manager, I see the Gameex process is still running but stay at this step (Gameex line shows in task manager) :

GameEx|Demarrage|Most Played|0/60|

Whe I press CTRL/ALT/DEL to call the task manager, the numbers after most played is not "0/60" but "any value/60" (the most is seen is 50) and decrease to stay at "0/60"

To quit GameEx, I must kill it using the task manager.

The version I'm currectly using is the last one (6.47).

The GameEx computer is an Windows XP MCE 2005 with an AMD Athlon XP2400+, 1GB of Ram and an ATI Radeon All in Wonder 9800 pro 128MB (With the 6.6 catalyst AIW MCE)

In addition, try turning off GameExtender publisher. Does it work if you disable your network connection temporarily. Does it work if you turn off the Slikstik support? What happens when you run GameEx in a window?

Has to be some kind of conflict going on.

Is it possible that there is something wrong in the GameEx.ini file ?

I tried all you said but nothing changed. So, I have renamed the GameEx.default.ini file to GameEx.ini and tried to start GE. With the default configuration file, it is working fine.

If it's due to my GameEx.ini file is wrong, is it a solution to fix it with to configure again GE ? I don't want loose many hours to do it.

I've just released a new version of GameEx, that should now not truncate the log.

I'm not pushing it out as an auto update just yet, so please download it from the site.

Try out your old ini, and post the log with 6.48

Sorry for the late answer, I was not at home the las week.

Just a good news ... since I have installed the last version (6.49) of GameEx, everything is working fine. I tried to launch it with my old ini file !!!

It seems that you have fixed a bug.
