Hi guys is anyone else having problems with the Dvds and Dvd on disk function working, it did work before and now even with 6.42 upgrade manually it still doesn't. I do have a registered version so no problem there.

Any ideas please?

hmm. Should have been fixed in 6.42 (released Yesterday). Can you confirm your deffinitly running that version, and also what OS your running.

Yes tom i'm running latest version 6.42 manual download and install upgrade, and running windows xp media centre edition 2005.

The dvd on disk work in mediaplayer but not in gamex, yet they did.

Can you post the log, also try the VMR 9 setting under Multimedia settings.

Also what video card do you have and what DVD software are you using?

I am also having issues with the latest release tried all the codecs as well and options. This used to work just fine awhile back and recently started to use again. I have an arcade VGA card, 16 640 X 480. System goes to start DVD see a black background kind of screen flash and then it returns to the main select list.

Thanks for posting. Could you tell me what DVD Codec/Software you are using and which version?

Also do you know if you have the Radeon 7 or 9 series ArcadeVGA card.

I know it's a lot to ask but can you temporarily uninstall WinDVD4 and try out the "latest" evaluation version of PowerDVD or Nvidia DVD?

I think this problem is related to older versions of DVD software, and WinDVD 4 is really old software now. It's difficult to find a version of WinDVD that old, so I can't test and try to fix with it.

Went to check it again before going through the uninstal, install routine...it worked with one of the latest two updates? Wierdest thing works fine now..it it bombs out again I will try updating the codec.
